It's fall mini session season! This weekend is the last chance for flower field photos, then later in October/early November I'll be at Blevin's Gap and Hays Nature Preserve!

Hurricane weather made us reschedule this session but then wow did the flowers and the sunset make up for the previous weekend’s storms! (Huntsvillle locals, this flower field is open through this weekend if anyone wants to meet me out there for a spontaneous and oh-so-pretty session!)

I’ve known Ashley since we were baby counselors together at Camp Sumatanga, and now she’s a really cool elementary art teacher, so I was SO thrilled when she asked me to do her engagement photos. It’s always such an honor when a good friend books a session, but when that good friend is also an artist herself?! Double honor. She told me beforehand she would need a lot of guidance because it was her first photoshoot ever, but she and her sweet fiancé Cody were total naturals. I can’t wait to finish editing all of them but in the meantime we can all enjoy these 4 lil previews of their flower field session.

Hey Best Friend,
Happy 6 years of marriage to us! Being married to you has been the absolute greatest joy. I’m grateful for every day we’ve had together so far, and am excited for every day to come. It’s our last anniversary where it’s “just us,” but that makes it feel all the more special. It’s so wild to think about how in a couple months we’ll be parents to a brand new person, and I couldn’t be happier to be taking on parenthood with you. Here’s to another great year 💛

(Also thanks a bunch for trekking through what turned out to be mostly campgrounds for photo spots even though you’re really hungry)
