This petite, sweet girl named Evie recently became homeless sadly after the passing of her owner. But thankfully her wonderful foster mom quickly took her in so that she never had to step foot into the shelter. I’m sure her late mother is thankful as I would be if that happened to my own fur-babies.

Evie is a sweet 7-year-old Miniature Schnauzer. She’s wonderful with children and absolutely LOVES cats and kittens. Evie enjoys playing fetch and going on short walks, making her a great companion for someone who wants to enjoy life’s little adventures together. She’s a little timid around high energy dogs, so she may do best as your one-and-only pup or with another calm dog. She knows basic commands and would benefit from continued training and confidence-building with her new family.

As a Schnauzer, Evie does require regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. She also has allergies that are currently well managed with a strict poultry-free diet and daily medication (see her online bio for more details). Evie’s ideal family will be comfortable staying on top of her grooming, diet, and allergy care and will appreciate the wonderful, sweet girl she is underneath it all. She has so much love to give and is ready for a family to come adopt her. She’s available through Friends of Rescue in Huntsville, AL (she is listed for local adoption only). Sometimes these sweet souls who end up in the shelter need a little love to be themselves again. Little Minnie Pearl was one of those dogs. She was terrified being in the shelter (she knew she didn’t belong there). So much so the staff didn’t think she’d be adoptable. She just couldn’t calm down from being in a fight or flight state. But a kindhearted volunteer laid eyes on Minnie and knew she just needed out and could settle if given a chance. That volunteer took her home not having the space but knowing in her heart she had to help Minnie. Once Minnie felt safe she quickly became a lap dog and wanted all the attention for herself as she tried to compete for it from all the other fosters in her foster home. Thankfully with rescues working together, it didn’t take but a few days for Minnie to land her furever home and got to go home today. In the photos you can see how she bonded with her foster mom in such a short time even when others thought she couldn’t.

This is why I help homeless dogs with photos as much as I can, to capture these moments and show how loving and beautiful they are. These poor pets have been through such traumatic experiences, if we all can remember to be understanding, give them a safe place, love, and care, the rest of the world will get to see their true side and potential - opening up the opportunity to find their forever home.

🌻 There is something extra magical about getting to experience the vast sunflower fields 🌻 with your furry companion. Pets love exploring the fields with their humans. Their little noses just keep going as they explore the fields. It’s so fun to see them light up, and you will too, seeing the beauty of the fields. 🌻 🐕 🐈‍⬛

I focus on capturing authentic moments with your pet so we get to see their personality come out in their photos. They get to be themselves and enjoy the time they get with you on your adventure together. Most pets I photograph never come off of a leash or have any kind of special training. They are normal house pets. I hand edit each photograph from our session to create beautiful fine art portraits to display in your home for you to enjoy for years to come.

Barbie is the best girl 💕— a gentle, affectionate pup who just wants to be loved. She is an adoptable pup through Friends of Rescue. She is completely house trained, great with kids of all ages, and even gets along wonderfully with cats. Barbie thrives in a home where she can be close to her people and soak up all the attention.

She’s calm, sweet-natured, and the kind of dog that makes family life even better. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or hanging out with the kids, Barbie is happy just being by your side.
