❤ This post doesn’t contain a picture. But it’s about a picture.....please read on...(long post, guys!)

A few months ago, I created an album for a couple whose wedding I photographed several years ago. Last week, I received a message from the mom.

She sent me a photo of their two-year-old daughter sitting with the album, looking at the photographs of her mom and dad on their wedding day.

I looked at it and I cried. Lots. I cried because the timing of that message meant more to me than she could have known.

PHOTOGRAPHY CAN BE HARD. There are the weather days when Mother Nature has other plans, the scheduling challenges, the long days of shooting. And then the hours sitting at my computer, carefully editing every image and trying to make each one the very best I can for each client.

Sometimes I get discouraged. Sometimes I question myself and wonder if what I'm doing really matters.

And then I see a little girl looking through an album of her parents.

She wasn't just looking at photographs, she was looking at her parents' love story.

And it helped me remember: This is why I do this.

I don't photograph people simply to make beautiful images. I photograph the people you love because one day, these photographs may become part of the memories that matter most. That is what LOVE STORY means to me.

Because what we create today can become part of someone's story for generations to come. ❤️ Thank you, darling little girl, for helping me to remember why I do what I do and keep going......❤️

❤ We ended Haley and Brad's engagement session last night with this adorable on-the-ground pose! That's a whole lot of gorgeous blue eyes going on right there!! ❤ (but of course, I LOVE the black and white....surprise, surprise!!!) Their wedding next June will be here before you know it!!

Traveled to Kelley's Island last week to capture this sweet family! ❤ I was so humbled to receive a message from the mom the next morning saying what a fun and comfortable experience it was for everyone! Those words mean so much to me, as that is always my goal...beautiful pictures and a enjoyable experience! ❤ Thank you Lisa to taking a few minutes to send that to me! 🥹😉❤
