There behind the camera, a whispered prayer on my lips, I ask for God to help me, to guide my eyes and hands. It's then I notice a mother's love, see two brothers running wild & free, hear their laughter rise to the sky, the buzzing of a bee, as the shutter clicks, time slows to a moment, it's then we really see, how precious the glory of God can surely be. 📸

“Am I enough?”
This is the question most people ask themselves right before they have professional photos taken.

There’s a little bit of anxiety and discomfort. A little bit of awkwardness. Checking the hair one more time. Sucking in the tummy one more time.
Straightening the clothes one more time.

Then, usually, next comes a brief opening apology: “I’m sorry I don’t know what to do with my hands. You’ll just have to direct us. We are awkward. Can you please take 10 pounds off me?” And then a gentle joke about double chins, or scars, or imperfections. None of this is wrong… but I will challenge you gently on it, today. 💔

So, for any questions that may rise in your mind before having a professional photo session with me or anyone, let me tell you, they all basically boil down to “Am I enough?” So, here are some answers to your questions:

“Am I enough?”
You were worth dying for before you ever posed for anyone.

“Am I pretty enough?”
God created you intentionally, not accidentally.

“Am I skinny enough?”
Your value was never measured in pounds.

“What if I look awkward?”
Grace was never dependent on perfection.

“What if everyone notices my flaws?”
Love sees deeper than flaws.

“What if I hate every photo of myself?”
You are looking at yourself through criticism, not through Jesus’ eyes.

“What if I’m not photogenic?”
A camera can capture light, but it cannot fully capture your spirit.

“What if I look older than I feel?”
Every line tells the story of a life lived, loved, survived, and carried. Social media is not real.

“What if I don’t know how to pose?”
You do not need performance to be worthy of being seen.

“What if I’m too much?”
You were never “too much” for the One who made you.

“What if I’m not good enough?”
You have always been enough to be loved completely.

“What if I take up too much space?”
You were never meant to apologize for existing.

“What if I don’t look like everyone else?”
Comparison was never your calling.

“What if my insecurity shows?”
Your insecurity is held gently by the One who made you.

“What if I regret this?”
One day you may wish you had stepped into the frame more often.

“What if the camera sees everything wrong with me?”
God sees the whole of you and still call you beloved.

“What if I look too old?”
Beauty was never reserved for youth alone.

“What if I should wait until I’m better/thinner/happier?”
This season of you is worthy of being remembered too.

“What if I don’t deserve to be celebrated?”
You were created with dignity before you ever earned anything.

“What if I can’t see beauty in myself?”Sometimes healing begins by letting yourself be seen anyway.

“What if these photos reveal my imperfections?”
Imperfections are often where tenderness and growth lives.

“What if no one really sees ME?”
You have always been fully seen and fully known.

“What if I’m hard to love?”
Nothing about you has ever made God hesitate to love you.

“What if I’m forgettable?”
Your life leaves fingerprints on every heart you’ve loved.

“What if I don’t belong in front of the camera?”
You belong in the story too.

For seven years I worked as a Registered Nurse…until God made a way that I could be a stay at home momma with my littles (still licensed, only now my patients call me mommy🙃). Those years carried some of the most stressful times, but they were equally enriching! It’s a challenging career and I wish I could give ALL nurses the gift of a photography session. But since that’s not possible, let’s at least do it for one special nurse!! This week is Nurse Appreciation Week, let’s do a GIVEAWAY
•Tag a nurse friend (or yourself if you hold the title)
•share this post (public setting so I can see you shared)
• follow my page!
✨ I’ll announce the winner on May 10th!!

15 min session/5-10 photos at any location between Huntington to Charleston. 📸 ***must be booked for a date prior to June 30th, 2026.

Love stories are definitely in my top favorite things to capture! ….My favorite moment from this September wedding was when the officiant had the guests come forward mid ceremony as a song of worship played and the group prayed around the bride and groom. It was so so beautiful and had me dabbing my eyes behind the camera! 💕
