Without sounding too dramatic… this 1 thing can be life changing for the postpartum period and I want YOUR thoughts!!

To the pregnant first time mom, You know those movie scenes that show birth where everything is so dramatic?

Like, mom’s water breaks (which is always a big dramatic gush & PS it doesn’t always happen that way)

and she’s RUSHED screaming into the hospital all sweaty and angry…

Then she pushes 5 times and her baby is out?

I’m sure you guessed - but real life birth is nothing like Hollywood birth.

Baby books vs apps

Does this make me old-school? I still believe in the power of a good old-fashioned baby book to document my little one's milestones and memories! Complete with printed photos!

You don’t wanna miss this tip for life at home with a new baby!

Have you heard of a baby care basket?

They’re a total lifesaver! If you don’t have one prepped for your new baby, I highly recommend it!

Basically, it’s a portable storage container designed to hold all of the essential items needed for your newborn.

You can move it around with you from room-to-room so you always have everything you need for the baby within arms reach.

Most moms include things like:
Extra diapers
Wipes
diaper cream
burp cloths
pacifiers
Sleeper
Chapstick for mom
Ni**le cream for mom
ETC

Answer this one! True or false: I ate food during labor.
You'd be surprised how just getting a little food in you can do wonders for your energy while in labor!
I know it can be taboo in certain birth spaces so I’m curious if you were able to eat or drink during labor??

It’s hard to believe that not so long ago, I didn’t even know what a doula was! I’d never heard of doulas, and now I can’t imagine birthing (or photographing a birth) without a doula
present!
If I could tell my past self anything about doulas, it would be having a doula present during labor can reduce the cesarean rate by 28%-51% (!) and can reduce the length of labor!

A lot of families think personal touches like listening to music are only for home or birth center births - but hospital families can add this personal touch too!
