Girls basketball were the league champions of the HOA!
Multiple players have now gotten recognized by the state for outstanding performances this season! Congratulations all!
I have my family, mentors, teachers, friends, athletes, school, and community that have supported me throughout my photography journey.
A special shout out to the 3 AM nights, soreness, slow internet, seeing my life flash before my eyes, dead batteries, full storage, and the 3-6 hour car trips! Without you, I wouldn't have as much drive to get photos done or character development 😆
To say the least, I'm absolutely amazed at how far PKam Photos has come. Growing from a little hobby I happened to be okay at, into an actual business taking professional pictures and even earning a little income on the side, it all absolutely amazes me! If you would have told me when I entered high school, that I would have to stop playing all sports due to recurring health problems and an injury that ended with surgery, and that I would instead become a professional photographer and be happy about that even though I was not playing sports, I would have been baffled. Trust me, I was planning on playing sports all four years of high school, so what led me to stopping high school sports? While playing basketball in 2022, I stepped wrong and ended up tearing my labrum in my hip. It was during this time, while we were still trying to determine what was wrong with my hip, that I decided to start taking pictures at my younger sister's basketball games, with a camera I had gotten for Christmas just a few months earlier (thank you, mom and dad!). I will be honest, the pictures were definitely a little rough, but they definitely show just how much I have grown as a photographer from 2022 to the present, and I am so grateful for the journey it’s taken me on. Again, thank you to everyone who has believed in me when I didn't, and supported me through my business and my personal life, making PKam Photos what it is today.
My plans with PKam Photos after high school are to continue taking sports pictures at Hutchinson Community College where I plan to start my college years, and still keep up the professional photography portraits on the side. Also in my plans, are to go to college to become a physical therapist (DPT). My dream of becoming a DPT all started when I went through physical therapy with two very influential physical therapists in my life, back in 2020, 2022 and even still today! Thank you all again for believing in me and supporting me in my photography and personal journey! See you all on the field for softball, baseball, and track!
