My first grandbaby is on the way!!

It's been a few years since I've posted! I closed my business, took some time off, and now I've been doing strictly volunteer work. A couple of my kids got into theater and I found a lot of joy in taking photos at the performances and providing those photos to the cast and the production team.
While my 13 year old has decided to pursue other things, my 10 year old is locked in on theater, so as long as she performs, I'll be taking theater pics. Her next production is Annie in July.
Shooting plays is it's own beast. I can't control the lighting and often, part of the cast will be well lit while the other part is hidden in the shadows. You can't really get a perfect exposure, but it's been pretty fun learning how to shoot in these fast moving performances.
The theater scene in Utah is thriving, so it'll be interesting where else this journey takes us!
(In Little Mermaid, my kids were a jellyfish and a mermaid. In Heroes and Legends, my kids played more roles than I can name. In Beauty and the Beast, Olive played Lumiere and Eva was a villager. In 101 Dalmations, Olive played Cruella De Vil. In Wonka, she's the Candyman, and in Annie she will be playing Pepper.)

My favorite sessions were probably all of the ones I got to do with my kids and animals.
I have a friend who runs a traveling petting zoo and every time she’d get a new baby animal, she’d call me up and we’d schedule a shoot.
This is a baby fallow deer and with her, I created these photos that have been hanging in my daughters’ room for years now.
No plans to change them out anytime soon, they’re too cute to ever take down. And they get even more precious as the years pass.
