A DREAM I’VE BEEN WAITING A YEAR TO LIVE… 🤍🏔️
As most of you know, David & I traveled out West a year ago for our anniversary, and somewhere along those beautiful mountain roads, we completely fell in love with the West. ❤️
We came home with a dream…
A dream to go back.
A dream to explore more.
And for me, a dream to someday expand my photography business into these breathtaking places and create the kind of images I’ve always dreamed of capturing.
I have been waiting for this moment since last year.
So, I apologize now for ALL the posts you’re about to see… because I have a LOT to share. 😂📸
This trip was something I had poured my heart into. We did our homework. We scouted locations. We watched the weather. We planned, prepared, and prayed for beautiful conditions.
And then…
Mother Nature had other plans. 😂
The days leading up to both of my sessions were absolutely beautiful. But when the actual shoot days arrived, we got rain, fog and clouds.
Not exactly what I had envisioned.
But somehow, both days, everything just seemed to fall into place at exactly the right moment.
The clouds broke. The rain gave us a little window. The fog created something I never could have planned. And somehow, the stars aligned.
I truly believe God heard my prayers and cleared the way for a little bit of magic. ✨
And the photos…
OH MY GOODNESS.
They are everything I dreamed they would be and more. 🥹
This experience was so much more than just taking pictures. It was a dream coming to life right in front of me. This first trip has taught me so much already.
And I absolutely cannot thank my husband enough for everything he did this past week. ❤️
David drove me EVERYWHERE I wanted to go, helped with lighting, carried my gear, helped me scout, kept an eye out for bears 🐻😂, and most importantly, supported me every step of the way.
He never once made me feel like this dream was my crazy idea.
He made it our adventure.
I couldn't ask for a bigger supporter, and I am so incredibly grateful that I get to chase these dreams with him by my side. ❤️
This trip reminded me just how much I LOVE this.
The mountains.
The adventure.
The unexpected moments.
The sunsets.
The couples who are willing to go somewhere beautiful and make a memory instead of having a traditional wedding.
This was truly a dream come true for me.
And now…
I CAN'T WAIT to book more elopements and adventure sessions out West. 🏔️🤍
