January show at Prairie Art Center is invitational “Drawn From Life”. Always good to have a challenge! My entry is an image of my mother at 90 years old.

Started photographing a mile east of Paxton, Neb., then flew west continuing to photo as flood waters increased. The main identifying exits/towns are Paxton, Roscoe, Ogallala, Big Springs, all in Nebraska. Entering into Colorado, Julesburg, Ovid, Sedwick and then Sterling. If you start in sequence and keep the photo numbers increasing you will retrace the flight from Paxton, NE to Sterling, Co. The last photo was over Sterling at 2:45 pm. You can see the further west (upstream) you go the more water is visible. The South Platte drainage covers the front range of Colorado from Denver to the Wyoming border, so a lot of water drains through this one normally near dry river.
