I’ve been sitting on these photos for a few weeks now.

Not because I didn’t love them, but because every time I sat down to edit this gallery, I found a new favorite. A new moment. A new image that made me stop and appreciate what an incredible honor this job really is.

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the fact that people trust me enough to fly me to another country and document one of the most important days of their lives.

From Oregon to Mexico, surrounded by people I had never met before, somehow by the end of the wedding day it felt like family. That’s one of my favorite things about this job—the people, the stories, the trust.

These are just a few of the images I can’t stop thinking about. There are so many more coming… but first, the bride gets them. ❤️

You all can be second.

A good vendor team doesn’t just “show up and do their job.” They protect your peace. They keep the timeline flowing when things run late. They fix problems before you even know they happened. They hype you up, calm your nerves, carry bobby pins, fluff dresses, pin boutonnieres, hold babies, fix veils, grab food for you, and somehow still create absolute magic in the middle of chaos.

The right team works together.
No egos. No tension. No stress passed onto you. Just people who genuinely care about your experience and want your day to feel effortless.

After 350+ weddings, I can confidently say this: your photos are better, your experience is better, and your memories are better when your vendor team is aligned.

Choose people whose energy feels safe. Choose vendors who communicate well. Choose the people who make you feel taken care of — not just “booked.”

Over 2,000 miles from Salem to Jackson Hole, through the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, walking through geysers and hot springs, and ending it all with the reason we were able to do this trip in the first place — documenting a wedding on top of the Rocky Mountain Front. Beyond blessed to experience this life with my beautiful family.

35 degree glacier runoff water at Jenny Lake… and I still went in.

Just because I refuse to wait until I’m old and full of regret trying to remember what it felt like to actually live.

So I’m doing the scary things now.
The cold things.

I told her a date and a time. That’s it.

Life has been heavy lately, for many of us in different ways, and I think sometimes healing requires you to loosen your grip on control for a little while. She’s afraid of heights, maybe even a little afraid of letting go, but I booked the hot air balloon ride anyways.

And somewhere between the fog, the clouds, the silence in the sky, and the random field we landed in… we healed.

There was something so freeing about being thousands of feet in the air realizing there’s nothing to control up there. No fixing. No carrying. No saving everyone else. Just existing. Just breathing. Just feeling small in the best possible way.

Mother Nature has a way of healing parts of you that words never could.

They moved through the city like it belonged to them.
