I had purchased some Suet when rendered down was to soft and not what you expected from us. Was there anything wrong no - other then consistency in the end product. I know you have come to love our tallow creams. I prefer to wait for the product to be as expected rather than sell you something you’re not expecting.
Good thing we use ALOT of tallow in our soap, that last 100 lbs will be rendered down and used in soap. So no waste. If you’re asking yourself why it was soft. There are several factors that can contribute to that. Time of year the animal was processed, their diet, their breed, I feel that last batch was higher in unsaturated fats - lending to a softer tallow. I have purchased from that farm prior with the end results I look for. This time it was ment to be for soap. I am fortunate I work closely with several local farms. They will all continue to be farms I work with.
