Its 5:30am and Im writing this from my front porch while a gentle rain is coming down and the birds are chirping. I have been reflecting on the path life has taken me and I have so much to be thankful for. One of those things is YOU! All of you that have chosen to hit my little "follow" button, like my photos, take time to comment or send msgs, share your stories and memories that my photos bring up, Thank you! I love hearing how my work lights up your days, inspires people to pick up a camera, brings back childhood memories and makes people want to get outside, feel alive and be present.

Been thinking a lot lately about life and what a gift it is to be alive. We all have our ups and downs, but thats just part of life. To be thankful to be alive, means to be thankful for all of it, the good AND the bad. We can celebrate the good and learn from the bad, yet be thankful for both. .....
That all stemmed from standing there making this image. I was covered in bug spray and cobwebs all while swatting mosquitoes, but I got to stand there and listen to the sound of a waterfall while taking in this beautiful view. Gotta take the good with the bad and make the most of what youve got. .....

I was able to get behind the camera Sat morning for a few hours. In between swatting mosquitoes and dodging spiderwebs, this Thimbleweed caught my eye. It reminded me of a firework exploding, so I had to snap a photo!

Anyone else think that hummingbirds are tiny little miracles with wings? 🙋🏻‍♂️
Whenever I see one at my feeder, it just lights me up inside. I stop whatever Im doing, stare like its my first time seeing one all over again, and grin from ear to ear.
So here's to hoping this photo of one makes you smile as much as it does me! 😁
