In the year of '04, our friendship began,
You, my dearest friend, my guiding hand.
So many memories flood my mind,
Of cruising down 465, music intertwined.

You, with your DJDJ mixed CD,
And me, the roll-up queen, carefree.
But oh, how fate took a cruel turn,
A wrong pill chosen, and you we mourn.

If only I were there to say, "No, don't take it, dear friend,"
Perhaps today, our story wouldn't have reached its end.
My heart aches with every passing day,
Since you left, there's so much left to say.

Yet, I know you're watching from above,
Showering us with your eternal love.
Through laughter, tears, and every plight,
You were my rock, my guiding light.

Those late nights out, the joy we shared,
In every moment, you showed you cared.
You treated my sons as if they were your own,
A bond so deep, through seeds we've sown.

Funny how you despised my wedding's call,
Vowing to halt it, to break the thrall.
Your memory, etched in laughter and in tears,
In every moment, your presence is near.

I recall your brown hair, your infectious laugh,
In my heart, these memories will always last.
Together we shopped, we dined, we roamed,
In each other's company, we found our home.

Today, on your birthday, my friend, I send,
A letter filled with love, with memories penned.
Though tears may blur the words I say,
Know that I miss you, more with each passing day.

You were more than a friend, you were family to me,
