Darkroom Revelations

On this Good First Friday we celebrate the photographs that we created from our 4x5 film cameras and printed with traditional photographic chemistry on silver gelatin paper in our state-of-the-art darkroom (that Tom built himself!) Our traditional darkroom printing spans 25+ years mentored by great masters of darkroom techniques, Howard Bond, John Sexton, and Steve Sherman.

We have just closed down our darkroom so we decided to devote this exhibit to photographs that were taken with film and developed in our darkroom over several decades...and we will honor the namesake of our gallery, "Darkroom Revelations"!

We hope you will come to see our exhibit, Silver Gelatin, and help us celebrate the end of our darkroom era photography! But also stay tuned for continued digital photography from this Darkroom Revelations team!

First Friday Open Studios night at Factory Arts District is this Friday, March 6. Our exhibit is “Encounters: Strangers and Friends”. We find people fascinating and we enjoy photographing them while they are at work, doing chores, enjoying their avocations, communing with nature, and modeling for the camera.

We hope you will join us and all the other art studios and shops at Factory Arts District!

This Friday March 6th, 2026 – 6 to 9 p.m.

And also be sure to visit all the other great artists' studios at Factory Arts District for First Friday Open Studios Nights from 6 to 9pm. Artists exhibit a variety of art mediums: jewelry, paintings, watercolor, pottery, glass, metal sculpture, collage, assemblages, fiber art, photography, and much more! And there’s the brewery, a distillery, ice cream, new restaurants, and a chocolate store.

There is so much to see and enjoy at FAD --lots of unique, hand made, one-of-a-kind works of art! Come on out to support all the artists and vendors this Friday and every First Friday.

A Simple Guide to the Little Creatures That Keep Our World Alive 🐝🌼
Honeybees are the gentle makers of wax and golden honey, quietly supporting life all around us.
Bumblebees, the fluffy garden friends, spend their days loving flowers and helping them grow strong and beautiful.
Wasps, though a bit misunderstood, play their part too — pollinating plants and controlling pests, just needing a little more personal space.
Each one has a purpose. Each one matters.
Respect them, protect them, and let nature do its magic.

First Friday Open Studios night at Factory Arts District (CCIC) is this Friday! Our exhibit is called “Encounters: Strangers and Friends”. We enjoy photographing people while they are at work, doing chores, enjoying their avocations, communing with nature, and modeling for the camera. We will exhibit our images of encounters with friends, family, and strangers to tell their stories of one moment in time.

Darkroom Revelations Gallery at Factory Arts District (CCIC), will be CLOSED this week for 1st Friday January 2026. We hope you will join us for 1st Friday in February, February 6, 6-9 pm for a new exhibit featuring our very interesting images of "People"! We wish you all that's good in the new year!
