Let me tell you a little story…

So there was this one time, that I decided to step out of my comfort zone and make plans to meet an online photographer friend. She happened to be vacationing in the same area as us. So I thought to myself, how perfect is this if it works out!

For years now, I’m talking since I started my business in 2018, I dream of shooting couples and families wherever I’m traveling—whether it be the ocean, the mountains, the desert. I will literally dream of the perfect location, scout the area for people I could go up to, and envision the whole thing happening. But believe it or not, it’s kind of hard to find strangers in the moment. 😂

So I took a leap of faith when I saw my online friend was headed to the beach around the time I was. We made plans to meet up and swap photos and both happened to be expecting our 3rd babies 🥹 it truly could not have been a sweeter experience!

When we left, she texted me and said how much fun it was to meet up, even if it was brief. The real treat was meeting each other IRL. The pics were just a bonus. 🥰

When is the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone for photos? Maybe this looks like a totally different vibe for your next family session from your go-to look. Maybe this is the year you finally book the session you’ve been putting off for a while. Maybe it’s an anniversary session to honor the growth in your marriage. Maybe it’s documenting all the moments of your last pregnancy and baby before your family is complete. Whatever it may be, I know a girl who would be so honored to tell your story 😘

Babies don’t keep 🥹

If you’re a mama, you know this to your core. If you’re a mama to multiples, you know how much faster it goes with each kiddo. 😭 If you’re a mama to be, soak up every moment of this miracle. It truly is so fleeting and time is a thief. I know pregnancy, newborn life and postpartum is hard, but don’t miss the magic in this season! ✨

I know newborn & maternity photos are such an investment, but I promise you won’t regret having special photos to remember this beautiful time of your life.

I just looked at my newborn photos from my third son born just 10 months ago and I kid you not I teared up over his tiny hands and feet, wrinkly skin, and fresh baby face. What I would do to go back to that moment for a second, just to soak it in that much more.

If you’re a mama in need of a photographer to capture your sweet babe and family, I promise to help you along the way and give you the best tips and tricks to have a great experience. You deserve it my friend 🫶

Now of course, there is no guarantee there will be a stunning sunset. But I will always encourage brides to get golden hour photos because are you kidding me. That light is to die for. Still not over this August wedding from last season!⁣

Feeling a little sad about not getting to photograph beautiful families this fall….literally the best season ever…this was absolute art we created at this session with some dear friends, and man this….This is what sets my soul on fire 🔥⁣

Baby boy #3 coming this fall!! 💙

It’s for real been quiet over here in social media land. But, still shooting and working and capturing sweet couples & families! But I’ve definitely slowed down this summer to enjoy my boys before adding a new one to the crew (and our big boy starts preschool next week)! It has been the absolute best summer!! We were fortunate enough to book a last minute Florida trip last month and I got to meet a sweet photo internet friend who I swapped pics with ❤️

The most perfect intimate wedding for the sweetest couple! Briana has trusted me to capture her son & her since I started my business, coming back every year for birthday photos for her son Cam. To see her marry the love of her life and be a part of Ben joining their family was truly an honor!! This day was filled with so much intentionality, beauty, simplicity, love & of course lots of tears from the parents in attendance. The bigger the bow, the closer to heaven 🎀 swipe through to see what I’m talking about!

I have the honor of capturing not one, but ✨TWO✨fresh babies this month(ish)!!! So I thought to myself, hey, why not share some of that newborn goodness on my feed..cause it’s been a minute since I’ve shared anything but couples/weddings.

I’m pretty sure the last newborn I’ve shown on here was my second born in fall of 2021 😅 so it’s about time I share more babies on here!

The newborn season is one of my favorites. There is just something about that tiny little baby and all their sounds, smells and facial expressions that just melts me. But it’s also incredibly demanding and hard. Especially as a first time mama. But your baby will be bigger tomorrow. They change daily. I promise you it goes fast, and they grow even faster. So make sure you don’t miss having this beautiful time documented. You won’t regret having the photos done, but you will regret not taking the photos 🥹

Carolyn + Zach 2.18.23

When I met with Carolyn back in December at a coffee shop in town, she shared more of her and Zach's love story. She told me they had spent 200 hours together in a little over a month, which was enough for them to know they wanted to spend forever together. The saying holds true, "when you know, you know". This date was picked intentionally on the 7-month dating anniversary and also the week of Valentine's Day, which was SO perfect as they were becoming Mr. & Mrs. Valentine! Love a good play on words.

Every single detail was thought out with so much intention. From getting ready and having first looks with dad & groom at her house. To crocheting her and her bridesmaids beautiful, color coordinating shawls to match their dresses. To incorporating used and borrowed books from friends and family in her decor to match the uniquely eclectic and romantic/moody vibe she was going for. To having her ceremony at her church with a sweet little dessert reception to follow. I am honored to play a part in this love story! Sometimes you just gotta get out there and be creative ✨

You know that time of year where you are just itching to do, do, do? That’s winter for me. It’s cold and dreary. Business is slow. I can’t get outside and move my body as often. My kids and I both go stir crazy 😝

But there is beauty in this season of slowness. There is growth in this season. There is an opportunity to create new rhythms & new routines. So that when life picks back up again, you don’t spin into burn out immediately. Can I get an Amen?

And the best part of it? You have time for creative shoots. You can call up your pregnant best friend and try some things you’ve never done before. (Hello pantyhose over the lens for a filmy vibe)

So this is your encouragement to not only rest in the slow seasons, but to push yourself to try something new!

I’d love to know, when is the last time you’ve pushed yourself creatively?

Just thought I’d introduce the face behind the camera

My name is Brittany! I’ve been shooting couples in love since 2018 and I’m wildly passionate about the outdoors, traveling, and exploring new places! I was lucky enough to spend my 32nd birthday in Sedona this past weekend with my hubby! I gave him many opportunities to improve his photo skills over the weekend, and I’d say he nailed this one and that’s all that matters! We won’t share the outtakes 🤣

So here are 5 random facts about me that I bet you didn’t know:

✨ I could literally eat ice cream in subzero temperatures 🤣 cookie dough is my faveeee IYKYK

✨ I’m an only child and an army brat. I’m sure I disliked moving so much as a kid, but now I truly love having friends and family in so many different places! It’s so fun!

✨ I live out in the country with my hubby, my 2 sweet boys & our pup. We love growing a veggie garden every year and hope to add some animals in the years to come! There’s nothing like country living!

✨ I’m an extroverted introvert. I loveeee hanging with my people and meeting new friends, but you’ll probably find me curled up with a good book at a ridiculously early time of night most nights 👵

✨ My husband owns his own business. Not really a fact about me, buttttt it’s been so fun to bounce business ideas off of him since he gets it, being an entrepreneur himself. But his business is a big business with 30+ employees while mine is just me, myself and I 🤣 so we have our differences

Engagement sessions are my JAM ✨

If you’ve been here for any stretch of time, you know that I love love love photographing couples/intimate weddings/elopements. It seriously has my heart. 🥹

But engagement sessions hold such a special place in my heart for many reasons. Let me tell you a few reasons why ✨

1. This is usually the first time I get to connect with a couple after they’ve booked me for their wedding (after the initial bride meeting). I value connecting with each and every couple I work with, so this is so fun just to get to know each other before the wedding day! I like to personalize the session to you guys by sending a little pre-session questionnaire.

2. This might be the most time we get together before your wedding day. This time is free of distractions, timelines and the chaos of a wedding day. It’s truly a time to celebrate this sweet season that goes by so fast. My goal is to make you guys comfortable throughout the session, so come wedding day I feel like your new dear friend. ❤️

3. They can be unique to you as a couple. Maybe it’s a location that you frequent that means something to you both. Or maybe it’s an activity that represents your relationship. Maybe it’s where you had your first date. There are endless options, but I love helping couples think outside the box to capture their unique love story!

Oh, and did I mention I love engagement sessions so much that I include a complimentary engagement session in all of my wedding packages 😏
