When I started coaching in 2018, I never imagined how much this journey would shape me. What began as simply wanting to help a group of athletes turned into years of memories, lessons, friendships, laughter, bus rides, victories, heartbreaks, and countless moments I’ll carry with me forever.
This season marks my last year coaching, and while it’s bittersweet, my heart is incredibly full.
I am so thankful for every player who trusted me, every family who supported the program, every fellow coach I worked alongside, and every person who believed in me throughout this journey. These boys taught me just as much as I ever taught them. They challenged me, made me laugh, kept me on my toes, and reminded me every year why I loved showing up to the gym.
Being recognized for my years of dedication is an honor, but the real reward has always been the relationships built along the way. Watching these athletes grow, not just as players, but as young men, has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
To Perry Meridian Boys Volleyball, thank you for giving me a place to belong. Thank you for the memories, the smiles, the championships, the challenges, and the opportunity to be part of something bigger than myself.
I’ll always be your biggest fan.
With a grateful heart,
Coach KJ signing out. 🖤💙
