It's been a minute since I have posted on my photography page. So I thought I would start up again.

I travelled to the Klamath River basin in Klamath Falls , OR in February. What an amazing habitat.

This is an image I took of a very cooperative bald eagle. The Klamath River Basin has a largest population of bald eagles in the lower 48.

Well, it has been some time since I have taken the time to post . Today I photographed a snowy owl .
Snowy owls will visit our state on occasion This year has been a good year for us to view snowy owls in our state. This female was fairly cooperative. I sat next to my car with a long lens.
when processing the image it is cropped . It is important that if you have an opportunity to view one of these beauties that you do not approach the bird. I hope you will all have an encounter with the beauty of nature.

Photo peeps .... do you know where I can post my tamron 150-600 mm lens for sale ? Or do you know anyone starting in photography that would like this lens . I would like $500.

I have been taking an online class on photoshop. So I have just learned how to combine two images.

So the story of this image:

When my friend , John Tobias, and I were in South Africa , We were photographing lions as the sun was setting. One of the lionesses was on top of a hill was silhouetted . As I looked over my shoulder , I saw a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately the lioness was not in front of the sunset. I took images of both the lioness and the sunset. Well, now I have combined the two images to make the image I had hoped for that evening in South Africa . I have included the two images I used to make the one!!

I haven’t posted in a long time. Not for the lack of taking images..... I went to Gibson county in southern Indiana yesterday to photograph short eared owls . Short eared owls over winter in Indiana . They prefer open grasslands. I photographed these owls on a reclaimed strip mine. They fly low looking for voles in the grass.
