These are just a sprinkling of photos I've had the honor of taking of dads and their kiddos. From running around in the house to playing outside at the park. From brining home your newborn to getting ready to go out to play in the snow. There's so much more to these photos with the love and memories they hold and I'll never take it for granted that I get to be the one to document these for so many. ⁠

As someone who grew up without a dad, documenting these moments has always felt so special to me. I'm thankful for the men I call Dad in my life now (step-dad and father-in-law) and how well they love me. ⁠

One of my favorite memories from Emma & Ian's engagement session was when I found a random open field on the side of the road on the way to our last location and instead we chased the sunset into this field. Were there a lot of grasshoppers? Oh yeah. Do I have a fear of grasshoppers? You bet. Did I face that fear for dreamy photos for these two? Absolutely. Was it worth it? I've had the pleasure of photographing the Johnson family for the past two years and every year is such a good time. We walk around, play in streams, jump off rocks, and eat some snackies. I always find myself loving how much fun they have together while shooting. The love they have for each other and the joy that they all bring to each others life shines through. A shot from last fall of my friends Maria and Ricardo awaiting the arrival of their little boy, Lucas. So thankful we were able to squeeze in this session before we moved. It was a good morning with breakfast sandwiches, Mate, cuddling on the couch, live piano and sharing excitement for meeting their son so soon. Being invited into these moments is my absolute favorite. Can’t wait to see them again and meet their handsome little man.

I absolutely love documenting families and life with newly welcomed little ones. Loved getting to visit my friends Justin + Lauren this summer and document life with their little boy, Noah. Seeing them navigate parenthood together was amazing and only further showed the depth of their love and their bond.
