A big thank you to someone that came to the Weaverville show, and now has contacted me to order a triptych of one of my prints! I do not mention names or addresses when I post out of respect for privacy.

If you see a photo on this page that you like and would like for me to give you a quote on a certain size please contact me and I will do that. If you are within 1 to 2 hours of Spartanburg South Carolina I can deliver your print to you! That way the print will be signed.

With yesterday's show in Waynesville NC my show season for this year comes to a close. I try to look back over the season and see what I can learn, do differently, try to avoid, etc. One thing for sure: weather has been more of a factor than any year that I remember. At least six shows were impacted by rain, either during the show (sometimes all day), and three I had to break down in the rain - everything I had got soaked, to the money in my billfold. Fortunately wind has not played a big factor though I have seen videos of artists' tents and their art work destroyed. Mother nature has been acting up! My only wind experience was yesterday morning as I was trying to set up for my final show the wind moved my tent a foot, and kept blowing over my propanels. I assume mother nature wanted to get one more good lick in so we had wind, rain, and cold temps (50 or below all day). You have to know you want to do this to deal with the weather. I love and enjoy the interaction with people - that's why I do it!

Linda Velez Ramey and I drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway today, and what a beautiful day for it! Great temps, sunny, and nice fall color!

They are expecting a lot of rain and maybe some wind on Sunday at the Waynesboro VA Fall festival, and while they did not cancel tomorrow they did give us the option to break down today and not be penalized next year. Along with some other artists I decided to take advantage of this option. It will also let me go to the memorial service for my sister-in-law Freda. I was trying to figure out how to do both and it looks like it has worked out to that point.

One of the fun things I enjoy about doing shows is when someone comes up to my tent and points at one of my photos and says I bought that one from you 2 years ago! Then he sent a photo of it hanging on his wall.
