Watching the Ross Fire continue to burn across Texas and seeing our volunteer firefighters out there working tirelessly to protect homes, livestock, land, and our communities has been heavy on my heart.

I will be raffling off a 45-minute photography session, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Caddo Volunteer Fire Department.

In 2012, I walked into a college photography class because I needed an elective. That’s it. I thought it would be fun. I thought it would be easy. I definitely didn’t walk through that door thinking it would change the direction of my life. But somewhere between learning how to work a camera and figuring out what made a good photograph, something clicked.

Fast forward 14 years, and a camera has become so much more than something I learned how to use in a college elective. It became Crown B. It has taken me into arenas, barns, pastures, wedding venues, hospital rooms and homes. It has put me beside horses and cowboys, brides and babies, college graduates and growing families.

I’ve photographed strangers who somehow became clients… clients who became friends… and friends who became family.

God isn’t finished growing that little passion. Today, Crown B has grown beyond photography into marketing and content creation, allowing me to help people and businesses tell their stories in an entirely different way. If you would have told that college girl in 2012 that her “easy elective” would one day become a photography business AND marketing and content creation, I’m not sure she would have believed you. She was just trying to get through college. She didn’t know she was walking into the beginning of a dream.

There are days I still don’t know exactly where all of this is going — maybe I don’t need to. One of my favorite verses has always been: “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” — Proverbs 31:25
