Hi 👋🏼 it’s me.
Social media is hard, especially when it’s a part of your business where being on it is kind of required in some capacity. Over time, it can be hard to always be creating content, staying up with the trends, being “on brand” and making sure what you’re posting is engaging and connecting with your followers.
Sometimes I have a lot to say and share and other times I literally cannot think of anything beyond an emoji (and even that’s hard at times). So I bailed, I haven’t checked this account in an amount of time that actually makes me a little embarrassed to say out loud. But we aren’t going to dwell on that 😅
I have been finding my way back to a creative space, one that is free of worries with how many likes I get or what my engagement looks like. A space where I share content that I am PROUD of and that when I look back on I can be transported to moments that impacted me and those around me in a positive way. That’s it.
It’s safe to say that this family session was a game changer for me this year. It showed me that I don’t have to be just a candid photographer or a just a traditional photographer, but I can be BOTH within the same session and that it is OKAY. It doesn’t mean that I haven’t found my “style”, or that my brand is “confusing”. It proved to me that there is a need for both and I have strengths in each area. So I’m going to mix and match those two things until my hearts content. All that being said, I may not post again for a year or I might go on a sharing spree. Who knows 🤷🏻♀️ but I do know that if and when I do there will be intention behind it and that…I love.
