I took a few phone pictures last night of the Northern Lights. All of the pictures are in our yard without a tripod, so don't expect anything fancy lol. The last couple are directly overhead (I'm horrible at holding still for overhead pictures). The last picture creeps me out a bit. Even with my naked eyes it looked like an angry face.

When the lights were directly overhead of us, you could see pulsating within the lights, it was crazy to watch. It was almost like there was a small strobe light going off in the sky. I tried taking a video of it but I haven't figured out how to get good video of the lights yet (I need to research how ahead of time instead of trying to figure it out on the fly lol).

Let me begin by apologizing for our absence. Between life getting in the way and a very slow computer, it was nearly impossible to find the time to upload photos. However, that is about to change. We have found a good deal on a replacement computer that will make quick work of catching up on our website. In fact, changes have already begun to happen. It will still take a while, but you can expect to see new photos uploaded on a regular basis. I will try to keep this page updated as well. However, the main focus at first will be getting the website up to date.

The night of October 10th, 2024 was both horrible and amazing. I had a migraine all day long that was so bad that I planned on not going out. However, after seeing how good the numbers were and some medicine to take the edge off, I managed to drag myself out (don't worry, I wasn't driving), and I'm so glad that I did.

This was one of the best shows of the Northern Lights that I've seen so far. I gave up on my tripod early on because the lights were everywhere, including directly overhead! The lights got so strong that I could see the red with my naked eyes with such intensity that I gasped.

Out of over 200 photos, these are my favorites. I was going to do the overhead corona pictures in a separate post but then I changed my mind. So, the pictures aren't in chronological order, instead you'll find all the corona pictures at the end. Let me know if you see the heart near the end.

Last night, the Northern Lights offered a captivating display. Despite the brief duration of our outing, we managed to take some photos. The display was largely invisible to the naked eye, with the exception of the pillars, which were strikingly visible.
