I mulled over posting this picture for the longest time (I took it December 2018 haha). When I was posting my photography before, it quickly became a “what will look good in a feed” or “what will appeal to the people searching under these hashtags” rather than why I started it in the first place: just to share some shots I was proud of. This was one where I liked the picture, and but didn’t think it would get noticed, which I regret now looking back on it. So I’m going to try this “do it for you on your desired timeline” thing (something I’m also trying to implement in my daily life), and we’ll see where it goes! Sorry for the long rant, if you’re still reading this lol

You know what would be super cool though? If you went to the link in my bio and signed petitions to keep international university students in the country AND signed petitions to abolish ice AND encouraged your own and other universities (college students or not) to create single unit in-person courses that international students can enroll in!! That would be grand, you’re a star 🤩 (don’t be afraid to take charge, peeps; it’s the only way things get done)

Support through change | A longer post, sorry in advance

We are going through so many changes. Changes in our social norms of interaction and safety, changes in our way of living, and most importantly, the much needed changes of society’s perception of right from wrong. Social injustice has sparked a revolution, the pandemic has sparked a more virtual lifestyle, and we are still here. Yes, it’s exhausting, but we’re still here. Posting on social media, going to protests, wearing masks for the safety of ourselves and others - our compassion towards others has been heightened, and it is more important than ever to continue supporting each other. Keep having the hard conversations, keep fighting for what you believe is good and just; it’s gotten us this far, and can get us so much further in the future.

I wanted to revive this account as something I could just use to post anything creative - photos or art (by me). I’ll try posting more consistently, but the biggest lesson of the last 5 months has been that life is unpredictable, so I’m just going to ride this one out :))
Also! Wear a mask! It’s what the cool kids do!
