The Treaty Oak is an octopus-like Southern live oak, The tree is estimated to be 250 years old and may be the single oldest living thing in Jacksonville.

I was planning to get a Sun flare in the tree but the sun was not in the right position, but managed to get a flare from the sun's reflection on the building behind the tree.

I wanted to capture light trails for a long time and was looking for a spot to shoot. When I was at Jacksonville Downtown, I decided to shoot the bridge with the fog after the sunset. And when I braved enough to shoot the bridge from the middle of the road, light trail idea popped out. Luckily when I set up my camera and ready to shoot, ambulance crossed with sirens on (lucky for me, not for whom it was going. Hope they are well), which gave the red broken light trails. And the colors around the bridge is from the fogs.

PS - Cop stopped by seeing us on the middle of the road, but he was cool enough to let us shoot and warned to stay away from the passing cars. I didn't see his name, But I thank him for looking out for our safety and let us shoot:-)

Some memories from my best trip of 2018!!!

7 days - 6 People - 5 Cities - 4 National Parks - 3 States- 2 Epic Hikes - 1 Goal

I can still remember my first experience of standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon and looking into it. It was so awesome, it took a fair amount of restraint to prevent me from jumping into it, because I was certain I couldn't fly.

Nights of Lights - This is the local winter holiday celebration in St. Augustine (Oldest city in USA) where each historic downtown business and many residents participate by lighting up their buildings. The celebration was chosen in 2011 and 2012 by National Geographic as one of the ten best holiday lighting displays in the world. Traces its origins back to the traditional Spanish practice of displaying a white candle in windows during the Christmas holidays.

Every day a million miracles begin at sunrise!

One step on this beach, overlooking a sweep of dark rocks, saw palmetto on the bluffs, and the bleached bones of live oaks turned to giant driftwood along the shore. These rocks are sedimentary, but looks volcanic.

Great Egret Breeding Series #1

Early in the breeding season adults grow long plumes on their backs, which they raise in courtship displays. Males perform most of the displays, which can involve preening the wings, ducking the head, holding and shaking twigs in the bill, and stretching the neck.Male selects nest area and displays there, at first driving away all other birds, later courting females.

The Jan. 31 full moon is special for three reasons: it’s the third in a series of “supermoons,” when the Moon is closer to Earth in its orbit -- known as perigee -- and about 14 percent brighter than usual. It’s also the second full moon of the month, commonly known as a “blue moon.” The super blue moon will pass through Earth’s shadow to give viewers in the right location a total lunar eclipse. While the Moon is in the Earth’s shadow it will take on a reddish tint, known as a “blood moon.”
