I am a people watcher. No in a weird way, I’m just an observer. I like to see how people interact with one another. Are they kind, are they helpers, does their face light up when they see someone special?
During their session, I couldn’t help but notice the interactions between this family. The way Gratt and Brittney kept glancing over at one another and they’d smile or laugh together. The kids kept looking up at them with big smiles full of admiration. The girls shared many side glances with each other, and I couldn’t help but think about my sister and the glances we give. And the way they take such good care of their little brother, always looking after him and guiding him.
Since it’s my anniversary today, I was thinking about the importance of who you choose as a spouse. Make sure they are someone you can laugh with and truly enjoy life beside. Make sure they are someone you want your children to look to as an example of how to be: to others, to their spouse, to their children. Will they guide your future family down the right path, or astray? Will they be a teacher and a helper? The list goes on. But just don’t settle.
And I highly suggest marrying someone that is or will be your best friend. My husband is the person I tell everything to, that I can’t wait to talk to and see, and that I just want to experience all the things in life with. He’s my bestie now and I’m not sure I could imagine having our marriage any other way!
