Meet Cassidy... she's brand new, and boy did she want to stay awake for the paRtaY! 😂

Even with those big, beautiful eyes wide open, she was the sweetest little thing ever. She was determined not to miss a single moment of her first photo session! Don't worry though we did get some tender sleep moments too.

It was so wonderful seeing big sister Ivy again too. The last time I photographed her, she was the newborn in front of my camera. Moments like these are exactly why I love what I do. Watching families grow, seeing little ones become big siblings, and getting to catch up with Mom and Dad again is such a special gift.

This sweet family is always so much fun to visit with, and I loved spending the morning capturing these precious first memories of little Miss Cassidy.

A few days before Memorial day, Christa reached out to me hoping to do a family photo session over Memorial Day weekend. It was a little short notice, and we were actually up north camping with friends and enjoying some side-by-side rides. But the moment she told me why, I was 1000% in.

Their son, Ethan, had surprised the family by coming home on a short leave before heading to Okinawa, Japan, where he'll be stationed with the Marines for the next three years. There was no way I was going to miss the opportunity to help them capture these memories together.

At one point, we weren't sure the session was even going to happen because their oldest son had to work. But with a lot of hope, a few prayers, and some flexibility, everything fell perfectly into place.

The family came out to my place, and we were blessed with the most incredible sunset. Ethan's dad, Todd, is also a Marine, making this session even more meaningful. After we finished photographing the family with the American flag, both Marines carefully folded the flag together. It was such a beautiful and powerful moment to witness.

As they finished, Todd stood there quietly with his eyes closed. It looked as though he was praying over the flag with one hand on top of the flag. I can only imagine what was running through his mind....prayers for his son, for the brave men and women who gave everything for our country, and for the United States itself.

In that moment, everything seemed to stand still. I felt incredibly honored to witness something so personal and meaningful, and I couldn't help but pause and take it all in before quietly capturing the moment.

Sometimes photographs become so much more than pictures. They become memories, emotions, and stories that deserve to be remembered.

I'm so thankful everything worked out exactly the way it did.

And Ethan, as you begin this next chapter, please know that so many people are thinking of you. My family thanks both you and your dad for your service and sacrifice. We pray for your safety, your strength, and for the day your family gets to welcome you home again.

Oh, and I can't finish this post without mentioning the amazing surprise Christa brought me! She gifted me the most beautiful homemade sourdough loaf and fresh farm eggs from her chickens.

Honestly, the bread was almost too pretty to eat. Of course, before we cut into it, I had to photograph it because that's just who I am! 😂 But once my husband and I finally gave in and tried it... oh my goodness, we were absolutely in love. It was SO good!

Thank you, Christa, Todd, and your family, not only for trusting me to capture such a special moment, but also for your kindness and generosity. It truly means more than you know. ❤️

I can't say enough about little Miss Hayven .... she is absolutely the cutest!

We met up to take her 3rd birthday photos, and as any photographer knows, sometimes little ones have plans of their own. We had hoped to include Bluey in the photos, but Mr. Eagle quickly became the star of the show and the center of Hayven's attention. Honestly, it couldn't have worked out any better because the photos turned out absolutely adorable. In a way, I think Mr. Eagle perfectly represents her mommy and daddy and their service to our country.

I just adore this little family and always enjoy spending time with them. It was so wonderful catching up with Shanyn while we wandered around taking photos. And CJ was such a sweet big brother, doing his best to help get his little sister smiling.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Hayven! Thank you for letting me capture another milestone for your beautiful family.

Between the cow moo's, hay bales, tractors, and this sweet little farm boy covered in steak juices and smiles, this session was just so much fun. You can already tell this little man is going to follow right in daddy’s footsteps. 💚🚜🐮

We decided to do a STEAK SMASH instead of a cake smash for this little guy, (Mom found out he might have an egg allergy). So we thought this would be fun. Check out his photos. They're so cute!

When one of your best friends loses one of their fur babies, your heart aches right along with them. You hurt so much for them, but you also realize just how much that sweet dog touched your own heart too.

I’ve been working on making this photo for the Bolte family, and I finally finished it. What I wouldn’t give to help ease the pain for Chalcye, Chris, and the boys right now.

I had the honor of photographing Miss Stella many times over the years, but I also got so many loves from her too. She was my favorite little wiggle butt. Every single time she saw me, she acted like it was the best day ever.

I already miss the Snapchats of her “talking” to her mom for food, the garbage spread all over the kitchen after she decided to go treasure hunting, and all the sweet quiet moments, laying on the dock, relaxing on the deck, snuggled on the couch, or curled up in bed with her kitty sisters, in the boat with her family and catching fish too. lol

Stella truly was one of the sweetest dogs ever, and she left paw prints on so many hearts.

I hope this little tribute helps bring even the tiniest bit of comfort to your family, Chalcye Stolt-Bolte . She was deeply loved, and she always will be. 🐾🌈

Please help me congratulate Miss Bella on earning her Nursing degree! 🎓

As a mom of a nurse daughter myself, Rossele, I know just how PROUD you must be. Just wait until you start hearing the stories of lives she's touched, the people she helped, and the above-and-beyond things nurses do every single day for their patients. It’s an honor like no other.

Bella, I know you are going to do amazing things because you are such an amazing young lady. Nurses truly are the backbone of the medical field, and I have so much respect and admiration for every single one of them.

I had the pleasure of photographing her senior photos, and now these special moments too. Watching young people grow into their dreams is such a gift, and I’m so proud of you, young lady. Congratulations on this incredible accomplishment!

I absolutely love that I got asked by the Princeton Ambassador Program to photograph the Ambassadors, JR’s, and Misses this year! I had such a blast hanging out with these 7 amazing young ladies. 💕

And seeing Kelsy again was extra special since she was one of my seniors last year. It was so fun getting to catch up with her and her mom again (and of course getting big hugs from them 🥹). They truly are such an amazing family.

Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart, for having me. I had so much fun meeting all of you, laughing with you, and capturing these memories. You all made my job easy with your kindness and beautiful smiles.

Now the countdown is on for crowning night on June 5th, and I can’t wait to be your photographer again for such a special evening! 👑✨

Ok ya’ll, I have a little bit of a heads up on something new I’m finally doing for myself… and honestly it only taken me about 40+ years to commit to it! But hey, they say it's never too late, right?.... So this story starts with my ugly front tooth I've had majority of my life, MAJOR MAJOR dental anxiety, and putting literally everyone else first, to now, I'm finally just going to do it!

This has been something I’ve wanted to do for YEARS, but between kids, life, bills, and me being an absolute scaredy cat when it comes anything to dental work, I just kept pushing it to the back burner. I would talk to my dentist about it all the time about fixing my smile, but it's easier to talk vs do anything. I just couldn't get myself to do it ... My blood pressure at the dentist is basically a medical event at this point. I swear they should greet me with a paper bag so I can slow down my breathing when I'm there hahahah Just kidding, but not kidding! Dr Crook and all his assistants, they KNOW how I am, and they are soooo wonderful with me too! But I have had a lot of trauma with my past dentists growing up. And it's always been a struggle and very, VERY hard to overcome!

So a little about my ugly front tooth. Back in Middle school probably when I was 12-13 years old, I was graceful and fell on my face breaking my front tooth in half, and then little tooth next to it had a cavity fixed on it years ago when I was younger too, but now like my front tooth has a two tone color to it. I'm sure you've all seen it.. it's right there on the front page of seeing me! But I’ve been super self conscious about my smile for a loOoOong time. And I always dreamed of just slapping veneers on and calling it good! That was my original plan. But as always. nothing goes the way I think it will.

So I finally made an appointment with a cosmetic dentist in the cities after researching her and the stories of their patients and seeing the before and after photos of her work because in my head that's all I wanted done was veneers. Anyway… after talking with her she told me if I want veneers to actually LAST, I need to fix my crooked teeth first so they can last for many many many years. I also loved that they work with nervous patients like me who act like they’re headed into war battle instead fixing a tooth. They have all these fancy things like
Netflix and noise-canceling headphones
Cozy blanket
Memory foam neck pillow
Aromatherapy
Lavender
Peace and Calming
White Tea
Lip balm
A warm lemon-scented towel
and they freshen your face after your appointment. (I for sure could use that) lol... I'm sure it's not like a facial, but a girl can dream.
YEAH, that should hopefully help with the anxiety? Psshhht Wishful thinking, but yeah... ughhh Can you all tell I'm nervous, I'm babbling.

SO HERE WE ARE.
Starting with Invisaligns first. I get them put in tomorrow.

I honestly have no idea what to expect. And I wanna give you guys a heads up incase I have an upcoming shoot with you, and you notice I talk funny, spit while talking, drool, or suddenly sound like I’m hiding marbles in my mouth, or if you guys feel I'm off cuz I might be in pain… PLEASE just bear with me, I'm just purposely hurting myself! That's all! 🤣

I’ve heard everything from “it’s no big deal” to “I cried eating mashed potatoes.” I have no clue what to expect?
If anyone has any heads up tips that helped you with pain or something I should know. Please share it. I sure could take all the advice. Thanks guys.

Ok I'm gonna go barf now... I can't believe I'm doing this.🤣

I love waterfalls, so when Margaret contacted me to set up family photos and mentioned going to Willow River State Park in Hudson, I was all in!

I met up with the sweetest little family. Josie was absolutely adorable and insisted on helping me by carrying my blanket, while Ellie wanted to hold my hand the whole walk. Sophie was a little shy at first, but before long we had her laughing and having fun too and walking back to the car she was holding my hand too, I have 3 little best friends who I adore.

I absolutely loved shooting here. It was so beautiful, and so cool how close we could get to the falls. Between the scenery, the laughter, and all the sweet little moments, this session was such a fun one to capture.

One of my favorite things of all time has been being a part of the Isanti Ambassador Program.

For the past 12 years, I have absolutely loved sponsoring these amazing young ladies, helping behind the scenes, volunteering countless hours, editing photos, and doing everything I can to give these girls a fun and memorable experience.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of supporting so many incredible girls, and I truly carry so much love for every single one of them. One of the sweetest parts is watching them grow from nervous young contestants into confident women… That has been such a special gift to witness. And this year, I am so excited to be sponsoring Bailey Bollin!

Ambassador programs are about so much more than crowns and titles. They help young women build confidence, leadership skills, friendships, public speaking abilities, community involvement, and lifelong memories. They encourage these girls to step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and become strong role models in their communities.

I’m forever grateful to have been a small part of their journeys.

So without further ado… here are your 2026 Isanti Ambassador Candidates and Misses!
