Every year around this same time, this wonderful family and I get together to create new memories. Year after year, Dad still puts Lily and Kennedy up on his shoulders, making this photo extra special. This is one strong dad! Most dads are strong, but carrying your girls on your shoulders year after year as they grow taller and heavier takes a special kind of strength.

The best part isn't the muscles.....it's the love, patience, and dedication he shows his family every single day. Watching these girls grow up through my camera has been such a privilege, and seeing this tradition continue each year reminds me how quickly time flies. And of course we got Lily with her bow too. And little Kennedy is just as sweet as ever!

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there making memories that their kids will cherish forever.

This amazing family is one of my favorites because we all, go way back!

Sweet Morgan reached out to schedule family photos with Todd, Randa, sister and the whole crew together. We picked a pretty sticky Minnesota day, but we made the best of it, and it all ended with the kids splashing and playing in the river, which made for some pretty fun memories!

The last time I photographed Randa, she was in the middle of chemotherapy during her cancer journey. Seeing her smiling, surrounded by the people who love her most, was incredibly special. From the sounds of things, she only has three radiation treatments left, and everything is looking very promising that she could soon be cancer-free! 🙏❤️

Please keep Randa in your thoughts and prayers as she finishes this last stretch. We're all hoping and praying the doctors got it all and that brighter, healthier days are ahead for this wonderful family. Thank you guys so much for having me!!!! Loved seeing you all!

Meet 2-week-old Tatum! She was an absolute little doll to work with. During the session, I looked at Mom and asked, "How do you not eat those cheeks every day?!" OMG... she is SOOOOOOOOO sweet! Mom said they are hard to resist! lol

And big brother Arden? Wow! What a good little boy. He absolutely adores his baby sister, and it was the sweetest thing to watch. One of my favorite moments was when I asked him to gently lay his head next to Tatum and close his eyes. The way he squeezed them shut had all of us giggling.....he is seriously one of the cutest little boys I've ever met!

I had so much fun with this family, and it was their first time coming to see me. Thank you for trusting me with these precious memories. I hope to see you guys again as your beautiful family continues to grow!

Meet 6-day-old Cody! He was such a teeny little peanut and an absolute little hunny to photograph. He did so well that we even got him "surfboarding" for a few fun shots, along with plenty of sweet and tender moments that melted my heart.

Big brother Jax was also celebrating a huge milestone...his preschool graduation! Of course, we had to recognize his big accomplishment. He did such a great job during the session and was so proud of himself. And then there's big sister Kelsey... oh my goodness, she is just the cutest thing ever! She wanted her very own photoshoot too, but thanks to the treat I gave her, her fingers were so sticky that blowing confetti became quite the challenge! 😂 She was such a good sport though, willing to try anything, and the giggles she gave me had us all laughing. She was an absolute hoot and made the session so much fun.

Thank you all again for having me capture these memories. One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to watch little families grow over the years. It truly means the world to me to be a small part of your story.

Meet Cassidy... she's brand new, and boy did she want to stay awake for the paRtaY! 😂

Even with those big, beautiful eyes wide open, she was the sweetest little thing ever. She was determined not to miss a single moment of her first photo session! Don't worry though we did get some tender sleep moments too.

It was so wonderful seeing big sister Ivy again too. The last time I photographed her, she was the newborn in front of my camera. Moments like these are exactly why I love what I do. Watching families grow, seeing little ones become big siblings, and getting to catch up with Mom and Dad again is such a special gift.

This sweet family is always so much fun to visit with, and I loved spending the morning capturing these precious first memories of little Miss Cassidy.

A few days before Memorial day, Christa reached out to me hoping to do a family photo session over Memorial Day weekend. It was a little short notice, and we were actually up north camping with friends and enjoying some side-by-side rides. But the moment she told me why, I was 1000% in.

Their son, Ethan, had surprised the family by coming home on a short leave before heading to Okinawa, Japan, where he'll be stationed with the Marines for the next three years. There was no way I was going to miss the opportunity to help them capture these memories together.

At one point, we weren't sure the session was even going to happen because their oldest son had to work. But with a lot of hope, a few prayers, and some flexibility, everything fell perfectly into place.

The family came out to my place, and we were blessed with the most incredible sunset. Ethan's dad, Todd, is also a Marine, making this session even more meaningful. After we finished photographing the family with the American flag, both Marines carefully folded the flag together. It was such a beautiful and powerful moment to witness.

As they finished, Todd stood there quietly with his eyes closed. It looked as though he was praying over the flag with one hand on top of the flag. I can only imagine what was running through his mind....prayers for his son, for the brave men and women who gave everything for our country, and for the United States itself.

In that moment, everything seemed to stand still. I felt incredibly honored to witness something so personal and meaningful, and I couldn't help but pause and take it all in before quietly capturing the moment.

Sometimes photographs become so much more than pictures. They become memories, emotions, and stories that deserve to be remembered.

I'm so thankful everything worked out exactly the way it did.

And Ethan, as you begin this next chapter, please know that so many people are thinking of you. My family thanks both you and your dad for your service and sacrifice. We pray for your safety, your strength, and for the day your family gets to welcome you home again.

Oh, and I can't finish this post without mentioning the amazing surprise Christa brought me! She gifted me the most beautiful homemade sourdough loaf and fresh farm eggs from her chickens.

Honestly, the bread was almost too pretty to eat. Of course, before we cut into it, I had to photograph it because that's just who I am! 😂 But once my husband and I finally gave in and tried it... oh my goodness, we were absolutely in love. It was SO good!

Thank you, Christa, Todd, and your family, not only for trusting me to capture such a special moment, but also for your kindness and generosity. It truly means more than you know. ❤️

I can't say enough about little Miss Hayven .... she is absolutely the cutest!

We met up to take her 3rd birthday photos, and as any photographer knows, sometimes little ones have plans of their own. We had hoped to include Bluey in the photos, but Mr. Eagle quickly became the star of the show and the center of Hayven's attention. Honestly, it couldn't have worked out any better because the photos turned out absolutely adorable. In a way, I think Mr. Eagle perfectly represents her mommy and daddy and their service to our country.

I just adore this little family and always enjoy spending time with them. It was so wonderful catching up with Shanyn while we wandered around taking photos. And CJ was such a sweet big brother, doing his best to help get his little sister smiling.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Hayven! Thank you for letting me capture another milestone for your beautiful family.

Between the cow moo's, hay bales, tractors, and this sweet little farm boy covered in steak juices and smiles, this session was just so much fun. You can already tell this little man is going to follow right in daddy’s footsteps. 💚🚜🐮

We decided to do a STEAK SMASH instead of a cake smash for this little guy, (Mom found out he might have an egg allergy). So we thought this would be fun. Check out his photos. They're so cute!
