When Ulara booked her session, she told me she was still a little unfamiliar with the whole idea of senior pictures and was hoping for help with what to wear, how to pose, basically all of it. The one thing she did know? She loved the photos with flowers.

So flowers it was. 🌸

We planned her outfit via text and arranged professional makeup with Kenzie Grace Beauty. The day of her session, we wandered the garden and I talked her through every pose as we went.

And yes, the light that night was ridiculously pretty, but my favorite part was watching her get more and more comfortable in front of the camera. She was a natural!!

Also, can we give her a little credit for handling the whole booking process herself? She took the lead on getting everything set up. So impressed by her from the very beginning!

A PSA for any senior who looks at senior photos and thinks, “I would have NO idea what to do.” You don’t have to. I will tell you where to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look, help with outfits…all of it!

You just show up. I’ve got you.

Mason was SO easy to photograph. Super laid back, up for anything, and by the end he was throwing out pose ideas and fully into the creative process, yes please.

This is also why I really enjoy senior guys.

They don’t need to come in knowing what to do. They don’t need to have a Pinterest board or a whole vision mapped out (but great if they do!). Sometimes all I need is one thing they care about and we can build from there.

For Mason, track is a big part of his high school story, so of course it made sense to photograph him there. But I also wanted him to have the more classic senior photos too, so we mixed in the waterfront, golden light, a couple different looks and ended up with a gallery that feels so him.

And moms of senior boys, this is your sign not to skip the senior photos just because your son says he “doesn’t care.”

They may not care about planning every detail, but once we get going, they usually surprise you.

And years from now, I know they’ll be really glad you made them do it🙂.

Excited for grad photos in the spring, Mason! Have an amazing senior year.

I‘ve known Z since pre-K and oh my goodness has she grown into a beauty both inside and out. She had the glowy, flowery vision and summer delivered. She also wanted some fun nods to her love for soccer and childhood stuffie and of course we worked those in amongst the flowers and glow.
I can’t wait to see what’s next for this girl. Only this setting could have matched your inner glow!!✨✨

Had THE best time with these two capturing them in their finest prom fits💕. Friends since high school, we really got a chance to lean in to their sweet connection and they made it soooooo easy! Glad you guys had fun and thanks for letting me capture this special tradition☺️🌷

You do not need to know how to pose to get photos like this.
Showing up not knowing what to do is what I expect and working with me means I’ll be telling you exactly what to do the whole time. How to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look, etc. And if you don’t feel the direction, we never force it, we try something different. All it takes is just a few minutes before it starts feeling pretty natural and that’s when the best shots happen.
Just a few summer sessions left!

If you’re worried you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera, I got you.

I hear it all the time:
“I’m awkward in photos.”
“I don’t know how to pose.”
“Wait… what do I do with my hands?”

And that’s exactly why I guide you through the entire experience.

I’m constantly helping with movement, angles, hands, expression, posture, where to look, what to do next, all so you can relax, which is honestly how we get our best looks.

The goal isn’t trying to look perfect.
It’s creating photos that feel natural, confident, and genuinely like you.

By the end of the session, almost everyone says the same thing:
“That was actually so much fun.”
