There’s something so special about floating together. Holding each other up, putting your complete trust in one another. Jess was definitely apprehensive at first (hello giant catfish) but the second she took Keags hand, her fears dissolved and nothing was left but the most pure childlike love. Social media is a fickle mother f💭

While I can’t deny it’s an incredible tool to share your work and to express yourself in alll the ways, for me it can sometimes be crippling. I often catch myself comparing and feeling inferior. Why don’t I have the following they have? They’re clearly younger than me, how are they so far ahead? Why can’t I seem to master this damn algorithm? Do I suck at this? 😅

With trends constantly changing and creators being pushed to sell our souls to be seen, it’s so important to just stay true to yourself and your goals. Never forget your work is your art. It is your child to nurture. Not a racket for likes and comments. Not endless reels and captions that sometimes all feel the same. While those things can be great and fun, for me the expectation of never-ending new content is insanely stifling to my creativity.

If this feels at all relatable, honey child, (myself included) STOP comparing where you are and what you’re capable of to anything other than your own personal growth. I promise you if you don’t, it will end in burnout. Every. Damn. Time. Just go off sis. Do you. You can still create, simply to bring new matter into existence. Don’t be afraid to do things deemed wrong or unpopular by the standards of your peers or the pressure of a seemingly perfect feed. You just spent hours on a post that received 10 likes? Who tf cares! You made it. Make your art unapologetically yours, glorious imperfections and all, because frankly my dear - you are the only one who can.

Phew. Vulnerability makes my palms sweat and I’m not sure if any of this came out the way I intended BUT if you’ve made it this far, thank you. I simply wish to deliver experiences and photographs that feel effortless and whimsical, while evoking genuine emotion. No frills or fuss. (Well, maybe some frills✨💁🏼‍♀️)

For me, at the end of the day it’s really just about the unique magic I see in each and every subject I capture, and helping them to see it as well. So if you’re down for frolicking through fields with your loved ones and letting your inner child and confidence shine bright, I’m Tara 🤙🏼 let’s be friends 📸💛
