Hot and dry weather is on the way for North and Central Texas this weekend. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the 90s and low 100s both Saturday and Sunday, with heat index values reaching around 105° in some areas.

If you have outdoor plans, take plenty of breaks, drink lots of water, and check on family, friends, and pets. Stay safe and beat the heat! ☀️🥵

Twenty five years later, September 11, 2001, is still a day that many of us will never forget.

We remember the innocent lives that were taken far too soon. We remember the families who lost mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, friends, and loved ones. We remember the workers who went to their jobs that morning and never made it home.

We also remember the incredible courage of the first responders firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and countless others who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape. Their bravery and sacrifice continue to inspire generations.

Today, we honor the victims, the survivors, the families who still carry the weight of that loss, and the heroes whose actions showed the very best of America during one of its darkest days.

May we never forget the lives lost, the courage shown, and the unity that followed.

When someone is at rock bottom, they usually already know how badly they messed up.

They don’t need another lecture.

They don’t need someone standing over them saying, “I told you so.”

They need a ladder.

I’ve been there. I know what shame feels like. I know what it’s like when everyone points out your mistakes, but nobody shows you how to start making things right.

Accountability matters. Consequences matter.

But compassion matters too.

So when someone is struggling, broken, addicted, ashamed, or lost, be the person who helps them back up.

You can talk about responsibility on the way out.

First, bring the ladder. 💜

After weeks of dust filled roads, scorched fields, and skies that refused to give, the rain finally came.

It arrived not with a roar, but with a promise.

A promise to the cracked earth.
A promise to the weary rancher.
A promise to the firefighters who battled day after day beneath the Texas sun.

The sound of raindrops on tin roofs became a song of hope.
The scent of fresh rain on dry soil carried reminders that even after the hardest seasons, renewal still comes.

Today we stood still for a moment.
Watching puddles form.
Watching the dust settle.
Watching life return to a land that had been thirsting for relief.

For many, it was just rain.
For us, it felt like grace falling from the sky.
