Seeing the world through Kurt’s eyes is seeing the world of light, pattern, expression, composition and the human spirit. History

At the age of 13 when Kurt got his first seri

ous camera in Mondovi, Wisconsin he knew what he wanted to do. Photography became his passion and for the next 38 years, he has worked hard to provide his unique vision to clients from all over the world. Qualifications

Primarily a portrait photographer Kurt has worked to provide his clients with custom-crafted images of outstanding quality. This has led to Kurt getting a Master of Photography degree and a Certified Professional Photography degree. Kurt is active in his State Association and currently manages the membership for the Professional Photographers of Michigan. Kurt is an expert on lighting and posing to make his clients look better and whether in the studio or on location he is quick to know what will work the best for his clients. His outstanding use of lighting and posing coupled with the ability to generate and capture true expressions shows his clients in the best possible way. To make the best possible portraits he also offers his guidance on how to dress and what locations will work best to fulfill his client's wishes for a successful portrait experience. What should I expect when I have Kurt Robertson of Studio One Photography photograph me? A true professional with years of experience and knowledge while also making every possible effort to make the most flattering portrait possible. Because Kurt prides himself off creating portraits that he would hang on his own wall, not just yours. Creative, professional, and most of all part of the human experience that we all travel through. Consequently, a camera is a time machine. However, it can only stop a moment in time. Cameras don’t make great pictures, photographers make great pictures that you and your family can enjoy for many years.

Summer Sessions: Why Your Senior's Portraits Can't Wait
Ask any photographer what their favorite season is, and most will say the same thing — summer. The light is richer, the colors are deeper, and everything about this time of year just works in front of the camera. If you've got a senior this year, here's why summer deserves a spot on the calendar.
The Light Does the Work
Those long summer evenings give us soft, golden light for hours at a time. It's what creates that warm, glowing look that separates a good senior photo from a great one.
Nature's Already Decorated
Lush greenery, wildflowers in bloom, wide open blue skies — summer hands us a backdrop no studio setup can replicate.
Dress However You Want
Sundresses, rompers, a casual tee, a full outfit change outside without freezing in between — warm weather opens up options that just aren't there in October.
The Calmest Season to Plan Around
No school bells, no practice schedules, no fall craziness. Summer is genuinely the easiest time of year to lock in a session without the back-and-forth.
Beat the Deadline Rush
Get it done now and your senior walks into fall with photos already in hand — ready for yearbook, announcements, and holiday cards, with zero last-minute scrambling.
The leaves haven't even thought about turning yet, and neither should you — the light is at its best right now.
