After 6 years of growing sunflowers, I learned this week that sunflowers will bud and bloom early due to extreme heat. They typically take about 90 days, but this sunflower is here after 6 weeks. The rest are slowly following suit budding here and there because of the heat wave we have had. Still praying for later, so we can maybe have some cooler weather to shoot in 🙏

So, with that being said, minis might not be in late August, they could be sooner. Be on the lookout for sessions to open. 🌻This is truly the best field that I have ever grown and it will be so beautiful once they all bloom! Excited for you all to see it in all its glory!

Happy Friday ✨

Jess(I) & Theo 🩷🩷

My favorite thing to come from this year is reconnecting with Jess (my inseparable childhood best friend). There wasn't very often where you saw one of us without the other. Through the years, life took us on different paths, but with a tragic loss of her brother at the beginning of the year, it brought us together again. Making this was one of the hardest but favorite sessions I have had the pleasure to capture and edit.

Watching her be a mother to her literal clone, is so beautiful! Seeing how much of her personality and love was transferred to Theo, is like watching Jess grow up again. And she has all the personality 🫶 What's even better, our daughters are falling in love and becoming little besties themselves 🥹

Towards the end of the session, she told me the dog stuffed animal was her brother, Kyle's, now Theo's. As I edited, I cried because I did my normal cropping and removing some background chaos, just to see his stuffed animal being the only stuffy in their heart photo. He wanted to stop through and show some love during their session! 💙

The Stebbins Family 👣 🩷💙

We were supposed to have an outdoor session in the spring but the heat hit us too fast. Then, Alexis reached back out for her session, my heart was so happy for them to hear they were going to be parents and wanted me to capture this for them! I am so excited for this beautiful little family to be growing and to capture this milestone for Alexis and Nikolas! How cute are they and baby Stebbins is already so loved!!

Happy Monday and Give-a-way time ✨

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I was able to be a second shooter for a beautiful wedding (cannot wait to share when I am able to💍) and I think I fell in love with studio sessions after using the Lansing Studio, previews coming this week!

I also reached 500 followers!! Another goal checked off my list ✅💜 I thank you all so much for everything and having me capture such special moments for you all! That means new goals are on my mind and books 😊
