This is my first time photographing the synchronous fireflies in great Smoky Mountains national Park. I’ve been wanting to do it for years, but I’ve just been putting it off and finally thought to myself. What if the fireflies never come out again. What if this is the last time this ever happens. If you want to capture great photos of something, don’t wait to go take photos of that thing and don’t wait to invest in yourself as a photographer to take the best photos possible. The slang term for it is “chimping”

But why are you doing it?

The great divide to go from snap shots to photos that are worthy to hang on your walls is chimping with a purpose.

Take the time to find the subject, increase attraction and decrease distractions.
