Dreaming of a wedding day where you can slow down, enjoy the day and truly be present? 🌲 Consider eloping in Wyoming! As a Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I've helped countless couples create an intentional and meaningful experience in the solitude of nature. Here are five signs it might be right for you to say "I do" amidst the incredible landscapes of Wyoming:

1. You're needing Stress-free! Planning a big wedding can be overwhelming, time-consuming, and take away from the whole reason for it all... the two of you and this milestone! With an elopement, you can create a meaningful ceremony and celebration without the stress of extensive coordination.

2. Traditional weddings just don't speak to you. If the thought of sharing your vows in front of 200 people, getting introduced to the many new extended family members and a crowded dinner table makes you cringe... Allow your mind to be put to ease with getting married on your own terms under the vast Wyoming sky.

3. You're budget-conscious. Eloping allows you to be more intentional and invest in the things that matter most to you.

4. Wanting meaningful moments? Picture the two of you, a breathtaking backdrop, exchanging vows to the music of birds chirping and sharing your first dance as the sun sets behind the Grand Tetons.

5. You're wanting Fun & Adventure! If your idea of celebrating involves a vacation filled with hiking, rafting, horseback riding, rock climbing, chilling in hotsprings, looking for wildlife or other fun activities, Wyoming offers endless possibilities for outdoor excitement and it's calling your name!

Did these resonate with you? If so, It’s time to elope to Wyoming! And lucky for you, I will give you the best locations, recommendations and help you with all the details.

Don’t wait! Reach out and let’s start planning your 2024 or 2025 Wyoming elopement!

Current Status: headed to Moab!

I am currently preparing to head back to one of my favorite places on earth – Moab, Utah!

Along with Jackson, Wyoming, Moab is one of the two main locations I shoot elopements in!

It has stunning red rock formations and endless opportunities for adventure.

From hiking in Arches National Park to capturing the sunrise over Dead Horse Point, Moab never fails to inspire me.

I am looking forward to exploring new locations and capturing couples in love in this beautiful landscape this wedding season.

I still have a few more dates for 2024 elopements in UT and WY and I am now booking 2025 elopements! Reach out today!

Next stop: Moab! 🏜

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 I want to take a moment to honor the beauty of our planet and bring light to the importance of preserving it for future generations.

As someone who works in nature and loves these lands deeply, I feel the responsibility to be a good steward of our public lands.

Like some of you, I was taught at a young age about Leave No Trace. And to the best of my knowledge I was good at practicing it, always leaving places cleaner than I found them, respecting wildlife, staying on trail, etc. But did you know that the world of social media has had a HUGE negative impact to our public lands?

The simple act of posting photos of beautiful places with location info causes those places to get visited more. More people = higher impact, and when many of those people aren't educated in LNT these places see a lot of distruction.

This realization motivated me to do my part in helping make a positive impact through social media. I invested in a course specifically for photographers and became a LNT-certified photographer. This course taught me some additional guidelines for social media and I do my best to follow them and share them with others.

Today I simply encourage you to review the basic leave no trace principles so you are more aware as you travel and explore this year.

Together, we can make a difference by educating ourselves and being good stewards wherever we go. This Earth Day, let's commit to leaving a more positive impact! 🌱💚

3 Tips For The Best Utah Elopement ⬇️

1. Make your elopement uniquely YOU!

The great part about eloping is your complete and total freedom. When you’re not worried about placemats for 200 people or bistro lighting, your wedding can look, truly, however, you want!

Whether it's a champagne toast, beer cheers, or stuffing your face with cake, make it uniquely yours. Consider what truly matters to both of you and infuse your celebration with those elements that define your love story.

2. Incorporate traditional touches
While eloping breaks away from convention, don't overlook the significance of traditional touches. Write heartfelt letters, curate a special playlist for the road trip around Arches National Park., and exchange personalized gifts. Embrace elements that honor your commitment in a way that resonates with your love story.

3. Slow down & time to be together

Plan time to be together as a couple on YOUR day. Explore and be present in the moments of this day you have been planning for so long. Create time to enjoy it all.

Your elopement in Utah, or anywhere for that matter, should be all about you and the relationship you’ve created with your someone.

When you’re ready to book your Utah elopement photos, I’m ready to work with you! Reach out today, and let's plan your Utah elopement!

ELOPEMENT DRESS INSPO 🤍 Looking for the perfect dress for your elopement?

When choosing your wedding dress for your mountain elopement, consider the practicality of the location. Opt for a dress that allows you to move freely and comfortably in rugged terrain.

A flowy silhouette or a lightweight fabric like chiffon or tulle will not only look stunning against the backdrop of the mountains but will also make it easier for you to navigate rocky paths and uneven terrain.

Consider the weather conditions and time of year you'll be eloping as well! If it's going to be colder outside, choose a dress with sleeves or a wrap for warmth!

Most importantly, choose a dress that makes you feel confident and beautiful on your special day ✨

Happy Wildlife Week! 🌲🦌🐻

As an elopement photographer in the Grand Tetons, I am constantly in awe of the incredible animals that call this area home.

From spotting a moose grazing by the river to a herd of bison roaming... It never gets old seeing these wild animals!

It becomes extra exciting when we get an amazing encounter on a special day. These moments shared with these majestic creatures add an extra layer of magic to every elopement.

Getting married in a national park is an incredible experience!

It's a reminder of the importance of preserving and protecting these incredible creatures for future generations to enjoy. Let's continue to cherish and respect the wildlife that makes Jackson, WY, and the Grand Tetons such a special place.

These two were featured in and I am HONORED!

Hallie and Jon submitted their gallery to the publication themselves, which makes my photographer's heart so happy. I love when couples want to show off their wedding photos!

Like many eloping couples, these high school sweethearts wanted their wedding day to be a day where they could be present with each other and focus on celebrating this milestone together in a meaningful and intentional way.

By choosing a location where they could tie the knot surrounded by the beauty of nature rather than a decorated venue gave them the simplicity and intimate setting they desired.

Both their parents came to witness their union which was important to them. They planned their travel to include their parents for the days leading up to their wedding, then had the parents send them off after sharing their vows and a slice of cake. That way they could spend the evening together just the two of them and begin their honeymoon the next day.

What a perfect wedding day timeline that includes those who are important to you AND gives you time to just be with each other.

With elopements, you really can have your cake and eat it too!

REEL -

The four seasons of the Tetons, Let's break it down ⬇️

The natural wonders of Jackson Hole transform from month to month, so there’s no end to amazing wedding options. There’s something for everyone! Here’s how to plan your Jackson Hole wedding by season:

SPRING 🌳
The Tetons get a late start for Spring due to the higher altitude, so Spring begins in June. With early wildflowers and more green foliage the landscape is full of color. Tempertures are comfortable with warmth in the sunshine during the day and cool in the mornings and evenings.

SUMMER ☀️
Summer Jackson Hole weddings are my personal favorite! With the town and park fully open and warm summer nights there are so many possibilities. AND, for my adventurous couples, conditions are great for hikes with elevation gain to a higher altitude glacial lakes.

AUTUMN 🍁
The oranges, yellows, and reds of autumn are a big draw for those loving the warmth in the tones of the Grand Teton landscape. Beware, this fleating season is hard to predict. Depending on the year, the colors peak anytime between mid Sept - mid October. This is also a fun season for wildlife watching!

WINTER ❄️
The famous Jackson Hole mountain resorts and the snow covered Tetons are a huge attraction for eloping couples. From Dec-March you will see busy slopes and more quiet visitation to the park. The scenery is beautiful and winter fun options are endless with snowmobiling, skiing, hot tubbing, dog sledding and more. If you're dreaming of an intimate wedding in the wintery mountians, Jackson Hole is ideal.

Considering an elopement in the Tetons? You’ll want a seasoned professional by your side, and with my experience as a Jackson Hole elopement photographer, I would love to be a part of your day! Reach out!
