10 years ago, then two year old Myra Lewis disappeared from her home in rural Madison County.

An Amber Alert was issued and her picture went up on multiple billboards.

Mt. Pilgrim Road in Camden became the scene of an extensive search by local, state, and federal agencies.

They were unable to locate the little girl.

Posters were distributed and posted.

In August of 2014, we were granted an interview with her parents, Ericka and Greg Lewis https://youtu.be/fghLonei3eo as they relived that day, and the weeks after Myra’s disappearance.

The http://www.findmegroup.org/ was asked to become involved and they pinpointed geographical areas around the family home that should be searched.

Sheriff Tucker said all those areas were searched to no avail.

Sightings were reported and investigated, also without success.

It’s a case that has seemingly gone cold. No credible leads have come in last time we spoke to the Sheriff.

Meantime, NCMEC produced an age-progressive photo of what Myra may look like at 10 years old.

She would now be 12 years old.

The FBI is still offering up to $20,000 for information regarding her whereabouts https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/myra-lewis

Lufkin, Texas native and voice of so many rodeos across the nation, PRCA announcer Mike Mathis has died. The 77-year old was the voice of the for 27 years.
Here’s an interview the Cowboy Channel did with him in 2021 regarding the milestone and how his career began:

https://www.thecowboychannel.com/mike-mathis-on-what-it-meant-to-be-honored-by-the-dixie-national-rodeo

With great sadness I learned this morning my good friend, the one and only Mike Mathis passed away and went to be with the Lord. For over 25 years Mike has been the voice of the Dixie National Rodeo, and he was my friend. His voice and presence will be missed, but his life and positive legacy will live on in our Rodeo and beyond. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family, Shan. We are praying for you.

What happened to our sister station in Charlotte is unimaginable. Two very talented individuals were lost today.
The anchors poise on air amidst this loss was particularly noticeable.
They shared stories about these two family men, their lives a light in a hectic newsroom.
My takeaway is that we never know. Be kind to those around you and be that light.
Tonight, a whole community is wrapping their arms around the WBTV family.

The pilot appeared to maneuver the helicopter away from the interstate to avoid hitting vehicles as the aircraft went down, the police chief said.
