While it can be extremely hard to escape, one of the hardest parts is rebuilding a life afterwards. One large barrier is steady employment. In fact, without a stable job, 80% of women who have been trafficked will likely be trafficked again.

Today is the last day in our studio. We've loved this location and our landlords, but it's time to move on. They want to sell, and we need something bigger. It was a good time to part.

BUT - before we re-open, we're taking an extended sabbatical. So many new things are going on (the most exciting of which is that I will be a grandma soon!) and we have decided to take a small break to focus on family and getting ready for the next step in our business. So many exciting things coming...

In the meantime, we will continue to take care of our current client base on a limited scheduling plan. Be sure to plan ahead and start thinking about summer and fall needs.

In one of the many photography forms I'm a part of, a comment was made that portrait posing is the same for all women, regardless of body type.

Ladies - if you have zero concerns about your body type/shape/size, then for you this is certainly true. But in my many years of business, I've never met one of you. You're a unicorn. And I'm envious of your confidence.

Posing, lighting, angles - they make all the difference in the world. And this skill comes from experience, of course - but also understanding and compassion. So if you're not so sure about having your portraits taken bc of even the slightest bit of insecurity, I'm here for you. Let's chat. I can help.
