I felt like I was in the candy store of W***y Wonka during this photo-session. This family comes up with such a variety of photo locations. Last year they did pictures at their neighborhood playground. This year they did them at Sweet Pete's Candy Store. A family friend had gotten their photos done at Sweet Pete's as well. We swam with manatees in Crystal River, Florida. My in-laws took us in January 2018 on a very cold day (high was 40 degrees). A cold day is the BEST day to see the manatees. I think it also helped that we did the tour on a Thursday. Manatees come from the ocean to the natural springs to warm up. The springs are a constant 72 degrees year round. [ 565 more words ]

This little lady is so lucky to have two older brothers. She has a built in fan club ready for her. The oldest was especially helpful. He is so big that he was able to hold baby sister all by himself. He did so ever so carefully. We talked about all of her adorable features and were able to just stare at her. [ 329 more words ]

This delightful picnic took place at Memorial Park in the Riverside area of Jacksonville, Florida. This picnic basket was used for this couple's engagement session and an anniversary session. I love that they incorporated a prop that has seen their family grow. Plus, it just gave a cozy feel to all of these spring time photos. Every age has different challenges with photographing them. I told mom she looked like a beautiful mermaid at the beach for these maternity photos. These maternity portraits were taken at Washington Oak Garden State Park. Even though these were taken in the summer there were still beautiful flowers. Look at the height of the roses compared to the children. They are the tallest roses I've ever seen. Whenever I am asked for location ideas for family beach photos in Jacksonville, I always mention the rolling hills of Guana State Park. There is a small parking fee but the beach is generally less crowded and there are no homes on the beach. The lack of homes makes me think I'm on my own private beach. The park rangers close the parking lot right before the sun sets. [ 324 more words ]

These photographs were centered around the concept of a family party decorating Easter eggs. These photos were taken right before Easter. I loved everything about the photo-session. Since this was an extended family session, there are countless combination of photographs I could take. I asked ahead of time what photographs were important to capture then went from there. There were the grandparents, their three children and one of the daughter's husband and their two girls. [ 340 more words ]
