Our oldest of the two has autism. It has always been difficult for most other people to capture pictures of "him", while they wait for that right pose, that right "smile", or wait for him to follow their instructions on what they want him to do. This is not my style. I have extensive experience working with children of all abilities (special needs or not). I have learned through personal experienc
e from my own child that it's all about being in the moment. Patience and understanding help a lot, too! Anyone who has a child with special needs knows full well what I am speaking of. I won't be asking for poses or forcing smiles. I won't be using loud squeaky toys and silly noises. I patiently follow their lead and capture the best of them. I thoroughly enjoy capturing moments of peacefulness, happiness, curiosity and whatever else may present itself! I believe that special, candid moments are "Beautiful Pieces" of art and love to capture their true selves in still frames. I photograph for several local organizations that benefit local children with special needs, including the H.E.A.L. Foundation, the Epiliepsy Foundation and Project C.H.A.N.C.E. autism service dogs foundation. Please take a moment and go through my albums on my face book page. My style is unique. I do not use props or have special lighting or poses. My specialty is having an eye to catch candid "moments" in time for you. If this is something you would like, please don't hesitate to contact me! Please spread the word and keep checking back to see what's new with Beautiful Pieces Photography! :)
