To the moms who make sure the memories get preserved... thank you. 🤍

You're usually the one behind the camera.

The one taking the pictures.

The one noticing how quickly they're changing.

The one who knows those chubby little hands won't stay little, the missing teeth will grow back in, and somehow the baby you were just holding will be taller than you.

And you're usually the one who decides, *we need to document this.*

So you make the appointment.

You get everyone there.

And then you trust me to take care of the rest.

The wardrobe. The hair and makeup. The details. And eventually, turning those photographs into something you'll actually see and enjoy every day.

For 15 years, moms have trusted me with the people they love most.

They've handed me their brand-new babies. They've brought those babies back as toddlers, big kids and teenagers. They've let me document new chapters and growing families.

That trust has never been lost on me.

So during this month of celebrating 15 years of Pure Life Photography, I want to say thank you to YOU— the moms who decided these memories were worth preserving.

Nobody really tells you that pregnancy can be beautiful and hard at the same time. 🤍

You can be grateful and uncomfortable.

Excited and overwhelmed.

In awe of what your body is doing while also not quite feeling like yourself.

All of it can exist at once.

That’s part of why maternity photos can mean so much later.

They have a way of showing you the beauty of a season that may have felt messy, emotional, or fleeting while you were living it.

You don’t have to feel perfect to be worth documenting.

But we do get an A for effort!

Listen… not every baby is thrilled about meeting Santa.

Babies have big feelings. Sometimes Santa gets a huge smile…and sometimes he gets a *WHO IS THIS MAN AND WHY AM I SITTING WITH HIM?!* 😭😂

And we get it.

That’s actually one of the reasons we start your session with **just your little ones in our Christmas setup BEFORE Santa joins them.** 🎄

We get those sweet smiles, giggles and happy Christmas portraits first… and THEN we bring in the big guy. 🎅🏻

And if your little one isn’t quite sure about him?

**Don’t worry. We’ve got this.**

After 15 years of photographing babies and little ones, I have **A LOT of tricks up my sleeve** for getting that non-crying photo with Santa. 😂 And our Santa has years of experience too. He’s patient, sweet and knows exactly how to work with little ones who might need a minute to warm up.

We take our cues from your child, work quickly when we need to, and do everything we can to get that sweet Santa moment.

But if we also happen to get a photo of your baby looking at Santa and deciding **“NOPE. I’M OUT.”** 😂

KEEP IT.

Because years from now, you’ll have the beautiful smiling Christmas portraits…

…but I have a feeling THAT might be the photo that makes you laugh the hardest.

Happy, shy, curious, skeptical or completely DONE — it’s all part of the memory.

And honestly, it’s all part of the Christmas magic. 🎄✨

My first studio was my dining room. 🤍

I would move the dining room table out of the way, set everything up, photograph my clients, and then put my house back together again.

From there came a tiny rented room inside a real estate office. Then a bigger space I shared with Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency—complete with brown carpet and studio lights because beautiful natural light definitely wasn't part of the deal.

Then COVID happened.

With so much uncertainty, I couldn't bring myself to commit to another three-year lease, so I downsized again. This time to a teeny little office inside a 3D ultrasound space. It was small, but I made it cute, made it work, and kept photographing your families.

And eventually... I found home.

My studio today is everything I dreamed about during all those years of moving tables and making little spaces work. I chose the floors, the doors, even the doorknobs. I have beautiful natural light, an entire room for my client wardrobe, a space for ordering appointments, and room to create.

But looking back at these spaces, the thing that gets me isn't how much the studios have changed.

It's that you kept showing up.

You trusted me in my dining room.

You trusted me with the brown carpet and studio lights.

You trusted me in the tiny office.

And you trust me here.

You didn't wait until I had the beautiful studio.

You helped me build the business that made the beautiful studio possible.

As I celebrate 15 years of Pure Life Photography this September, I don't think I'll ever be able to adequately say how grateful I am for that.

Thank you for growing with me. Thank you for trusting me with your families. And thank you for being part of this story.

Cheers to 15 years—and to the people who made them possible.

Last year, I got an email from a mom before their Santa session with a little request…

She had a surprise for her kids and wanted to know if Santa could be the one to give it to them.

Ummm… YES. 🎅🏻❤️

So when they came to see Santa, he didn't just ask what they wanted for Christmas.

He had a surprise waiting for them.

Tickets for her son to go see the Georgia Bulldogs play with his dad 🏈 — and a special mommy + daughter night planned just for the girls. ❤️

And THIS is why I love our Santa Experience so much.

It's not five minutes of "sit here, smile at Santa, take a picture."

It's an EXPERIENCE.

Santa knows their names. He talks to them. He listens to their Christmas wishes. He laughs with them. He makes them feel like, for those few minutes, Santa really does know exactly who they are.

And sometimes… he even knows a secret or two. 😉

Can you imagine being little and having Santa Claus himself surprise you with tickets to a Georgia game with your dad?!

They'll tell that story for YEARS.

"Remember when Santa knew we were going to the Georgia game?!"

That's the kind of Christmas magic I want to create.

Because eventually they're going to figure out how all of this works. ❤️ But while they still believe? I want to make it as magical as I possibly can.

This isn't just a Santa picture.

It's a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience they'll talk about long after the session is over — and you'll have the photographs to remember exactly what their faces looked like when the magic felt completely real. 🎅🏻✨

If you’ve been going back and forth on maternity photos, this one’s for you. 🤍

Maybe you don’t feel quite like yourself right now.

Maybe being in front of the camera isn’t your thing.

Maybe you’re wondering if it’s really worth the investment.

All of those feelings are completely normal.

The goal isn’t to make you look like someone else or expect you to know what to do.

15 years. 🤍

Fifteen years ago, I could never have imagined all of the families I would meet, the babies I would watch grow, or the moments I would have the privilege of preserving.

Some of you trusted me with your newborn and came back year after year.

Some of you found me somewhere in the middle.

And some of you are brand new here.

Every single one of you has been part of this story.

This September, Pure Life Photography turns 15, and instead of spending the month talking about us, I want to spend it celebrating YOU.

The families who trusted me.

The moms who handed me their babies.

The kids I've watched grow up.

The clients who came back again and again.

The people who told their friends about me.

You are the reason this little business became something I never could have imagined 15 years ago.

So this month is simply about saying...
thank you.
