As a small business owner myself, this one hit home. I came across this post from Jody Morgan and it really made me stop and think. Because honestly⌠isnât this the truth? đ¤
âTaylor Swift wore a $320 dress, and it sold out in hours.
No one balked at the price.
No one questioned the value.
They just bought it.
Why? Because a celebrity wore it.
And honestly, it was stunning. Probably worth every penny.
But when a friend launches a boutique, suddenly itâs âtoo expensive.â
When a friend represents a company, suddenly âtheir opinion canât be trusted.â
When a friend starts building something, suddenly âit couldnât possibly succeed.â
Hereâs the reality:
Every purchase from a friendâs business isnât just about the product.
Itâs a vote for their dream.
Itâs validation for their courage.
Itâs saying, âI believe in you.â
If weâre willing to trust a celebrity weâll never meet, letâs start believing in the people we actually know and love.
Support your friendsâ businesses the way strangers support celebrities.â

Iâve heard âphotography just isnât in our budget this yearâ plenty of times. And I completely understand that. We all have different priorities, seasons, and budgets, and saying no to something doesnât make anyone wrong.
But I also know what it feels like to pour your heart into something youâve built from the ground up.
So when someone chooses to book, refer a friend, share a post, comment, recommend me, or simply cheer me on⌠it means more than they probably realize.
Because supporting a small business isnât always about making a purchase.
Sometimes itâs simply saying:
I see what youâre building.
I believe in you.
And Iâm rooting for you. đ¤
So maybe today, think of that friend who is building something, creating something, or taking a big leap.
You donât have to buy from them.
But maybe share their post. Send someone their way. Tell them youâre proud of them.
Those little things can mean EVERYTHING.
