Heyo! I’m the photographer part of this duo! Wanna know the story of how I started this little business without my husband even knowing…even though he was the main creative at the time?? 🙈
Well…back in 2018, we used our wedding money to buy a DSLR camera. We had no intentions of starting a business. But me being the serial entrepreneur that I am, I simply couldn’t *not* turn this into a side gig. I was sitting on our couch in our little one-bedroom apartment in Idaho when I hit “create account” on instagram. Sometimes I can be impulsive...it’s fine. It usually works out 🤓
I needed a name for our page and The Wagner Duo popped into my head so I just went with it!
I yelled to Jonah, who was in the other room, “I just started a page for our photography/videography so we are really doing this thing!”
Like I said, he was the main creative at the time. I had barely picked up the camera so the fact that I was claiming equal partnership in this duo was pretty comical actually. I didn’t imagine my part of the duo being any more than the behind-the-scenes gal.
Jonah had a few video & photo gigs booked. I would go with him and help with posing / planning / etc. I slowly started picking up the camera more and more just to see if I might like it. I actually loved taking pictures growing up, but never had the confidence to pursue it. Welp! I ended up falling in love with the whole photography process. Everything from planning the shoot, to taking the photos to editing & delivering.
So now I’m the photographer & Jonah is the videographer and I’d say we make quite the pair 🤟🏻 If you are local to Jacksonville, NC, we would love to serve you!

Someone asked me what my favorite photos to capture were and I said “I’m still trying to figure that out. I do a little bit of everything, but my favorite? It’s hard to beat maternity sessions. I just love capturing this season of anticipation of bringing life into this world.” 💛 Especially when it’s your childhood bestie. You’re gonna be an amazing mama, 🥺
