Congratulations to Chloe on her baby boy! 🦋
This maternity session was so special to me in ways I could never forget. Chloe, a family friend, had accepted my offer for a free session to help build my portfolio. Some months went by before she decided baby was big enough. Her only request: a field of flowers.
I scoured local FB groups searching for a field that would still be in bloom by the summer. I was striking out left and right; I prayed to God he’d find something that she’d love. As I was driving to Walmart one day, my mind on something else, I passed a patch of flowers JUST around the corner from my home. It was perfect; all I’d have to do is knock on some doors to find the owner (some other time- I had frozens on the way home!)
As our session date was nearing, I was headed home from yet ANOTHER Walmart trip (small town things 😅) and happened to see a truck leaving the driveway near the patch. I pulled in to the easement like a weirdo and rolled down my window. The next thing I knew, I was in contact with the owner, who got similar requests frequently. I had finally found our flowers for pictures!
Fast forward to picture day, and roll in the rain clouds. As I pulled in to the patch, I could hear the thunder in the distance. I prayed we’d get through the session. God answered my prayers, and the sun even peaked through the clouds to cast a golden glow on this beautiful momma!
After the session, I wasn’t even one minute down the road before rain began to POUR on my car. We had finished just in time! It wasn’t until then that I realized how much the Lord was watching over us, and that I had yet another testament to His goodness.
All of this to say; if you are in need, lean on Him. If you aren’t, give Him your love anyways. He is always ready to give you His.
