“I was born with mild cerebral palsy in my legs. Due to that, I’ve been through years upon years of intensive therapy & surgeries to hopefully help my walking. My most major surgery was actually 13 surgeries in one. Pretty scary but God helped me through it. To be honest, my doctors told my parents when I was little I’d never walk, but by the grace of God I was able to with therapy and surgery. I may not walk perfect but I do, and that’s what matters. My therapist and doctors refer to me as a miracle because on all accounts I never should have walked. If I did somehow, they said I would always use an assistive device like a walker. I do use a walker to go long distances, but I can walk without it. It is such a blessing for me and my family. For some time I was on the cover of a magazine for Children’s Hospital. They might still use that picture, I’m not sure. They used me as an example that disabilities do not define you. Now to talk about schooling, all my life people have assumed that me, and people like me, cannot live a normal life. I don’t blame them. It’s just a stigma that the world has about people with disabilities. I’m here to show that you can live your dreams, no matter your limitations. I will be a psychologist one day! I’m not going to lie, I’ve been down on myself. I’ve struggled that I’m not like everyone else. That’s why I have decided to become a psychologist. I think with everything I have been through, I can help people like me or anyone really with their emotions. This is my calling, and I won’t let a minor issue like my legs stop me. I have a YouTube channel called “The Diary of a Special Girl”. With the channel, I hope people realize that just because you have a issue, doesn’t mean you cannot reach your dream.” ⭐️
