Throwback....went to Boardman Ohio to have my camera and lens serviced - and against my expectations the shop said they'll have it done in about 2 hours, so I went to two locations of the Mill Creek Park system - with my old venerable Pentax camera ; we were both a little rusty, but re-acquainted quickly - the photos turned out decent - thanks to the beautiful autumnal backgrounds....(and the shop was actually done in a little over an hour, saving me some embarrassment as the battery was only partially charged and just about to die...)

..guess I'll have to bite the bullet and have my camera/lens combo serviced: after a disastrous outcome on Thursday which I was willing to blame on the 2x-teleconverter Friday's images of incredible harrier photo opportunities all came out fuzzy,soft and outright blurry - and Monday's trip to Toledo is looming, photographing snow leopard, orang-utan and elephant offspring.....and I am sick to my stomach having witnessed the release of two dozen ring-necked pheasants in the harrier's hunting grounds ,raised by the game commission and released, only to be gunned down by blood-thirsty small game hunters starting today - and the harrier flies so close to the ground and at times just sits there that she may be "collateral damage" inflicted by an over-eager or ignorant hunter...... where's the ethics and morality in this type of hunt where humans have to "stock" the hunting areas with captive-bred animals so that other humans can live out their killing dreams, where does this support the hunters' claim to contribute to conservation and the management of game.........
