Slough Creek is located in the Lamar Valley of and is well documented for its wildlife. From wolves and Black Bear, to Bison and Golden Eagles, we have been blessed to see a wide variety of magestic wildlife in this area. This day was no exception, as this sow and her two cubs were passing through for a brief climbing lesson.

Pelican Valley has become quite the hot spot for us in regards to wildlife viewing and this morning was no different. We admired this young Grizzly for about an hour before he meandered over the ridge.

On this same morning, we also encounted a mature herd of Bighorn Sheep, a pair of grumpy Sandhill Cranes and dozens of Bison and Elk.

Get in the park early, be patient, and as always, be respectful!
