We work closely with Tara Bassett at Dogs On The Run 502 and they generously, sometimes at their own expense, take care of others. This is a way you can help support their volunteerism in finding lost dogs. There is also a 3rd party that manages a donation only drone fund for those who cannot afford it. Message me if you’d like to donate to that.

Meet Cutty. He houdini’d us until I decided to stop searching for him, then he popped up and ran for it. Dogs On The Run 502 was able to keep eyes on long enough for me to turn the car back around and get the drone up. After chasing him airborne like the police helicopter over a felon for 20 minutes, he ran into a fenced backyard. Then it was up to Lauren Kasdan to slam the gate shut and get a snappy on him! Located! We got a hot sighting right after I had left the area. Dogs On The Run 502 had eyes on the ground everywhere and they kept him in sight until I got the drone overhead. Cutty eventually ran into a fenced backyard where Lauren Kasdan snappy snared him after running a short marathon back and forth in the backyard! Tara Bassett Amanda Torres Rafael Torres Amy Romine Genie Bohannon Thompson Leslie Linkenhoker and many others helped keep eyes and form a perimeter.

Haven’t been out on a missing doggo in a minute, but this morning was a happy ending! Meet Rufus who has been running around in Cave Hill Cemetery for 4 days. Dogs On The Run 502 Leslie Linkenhoker Amanda Torres Rafael Torres Amy Romine Tara Bassett

Early morning drone thermal imaging (while it was still cool out) made this possible.

Did you know there are over 100 outdoor events across Kentucky this weekend? Keep your spectators safe from dangerous drone operators. Detect allows you to see where the drone and pilot are, finding them in seconds when operating illegally over open air assemblies of people. Ask me for a demo! We’ll be monitoring the gaslight parade today.

🚨 PORT OF LOUISVILLE MARITIME DRILLS 🚨

The U.S. Coast Guard, alongside state and local first responders will conduct coordinated law enforcement and emergency response drills on the Ohio River on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 8:30AM to noon (between mile markers 598 and 604 and near the Louisville waterfront wharf).

While the public should expect a highly visible presence of responder boats with flashing lights operating near towing vessels and Belle of Louisville Riverboats, please be assured this is a controlled training exercise to enhance our region’s joint incident response.

For media inquiries, contact LT Connor Sullivan at (502) 216-1802 to coordinate coverage.

Last night, September 9, 2,977 drones rose over New York Harbor and formed the Twin Towers at full architectural scale.

The lights first gathered into a helix, swirling upward before assembling into the shape of the towers.

There were exactly 2,977 lights, one for every person killed in the September 11 attacks.

The installation, called “2,977 Lights Over New York Harbor,” was created for the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and shaped with input from victims’ families, survivors and first responders. Among those involved was retired FDNY firefighter Tim Brown, who lost close friends on 9/11. Three of the lights honored firefighters Chris Blackwell, Terry Hatton and Michael Lynch.

The towers eventually broke apart back into individual lights.
