The missing tooth won’t always be there.

The wild curls won’t always look like that.

The favorite shirt will eventually disappear.

The little hands will get bigger.

The face will change.

And one day you’ll realize:

This version of them existed for such a short time.

That’s why I specialize in childhood portraiture.

A childhood portrait isn’t just a picture of what your child looked like.

It’s a record of who they were becoming.

So don’t wait for the “perfect” age.

This is the age worth remembering.

Let’s get you on my fall books and document this time in your family or child’s lives.

What’s something your child does right now that drives you absolutely CRAZY
…but you already know you’re going to miss it someday?

The questions?
The noise?
The way they climb into your bed?
The random facts?
The 900 snacks a day?

Tell me yours.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how quickly seasons change.

One minute you’re holding a baby…
Then you’re chasing a toddler…
Then they’re starting school…
And somehow you blink and they’re taller than you. 🥹

Even the seasons of our own lives change.

Some are busy. Some are quiet. Some are full of joy. Some are full of waiting.
And some seasons we wish we could stay in just a little longer…

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says,

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

The seasons don’t stay.

Our kids grow.
Our families change.
Life keeps moving.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons I’ve always loved photography so much.

A photograph can’t stop time.
But it can remind us:

We were here.
We loved this.
This mattered.

So whatever season you’re in right now, don’t rush through it.

Notice it.
Be present in it.
Thank God for it.
And maybe take a picture while you’re at it.

What season are you in right now?

Okay, moms.
If you could freeze ONE age of your child forever…

What age would you choose?

Not because it was easy.
Not because they behaved.

Just because there was something about that version of them that you wish you could keep forever.

For me, That’s such a hard question to answer. His innocence might be the thing I would choose at this age. We’re early into the pr***en years and I know he’s growing up quicker than I’m ready for.

Well… hello again!

After taking the summer off for some much-needed family time, I’m officially back behind the camera.

This summer looked a little different for our family. My husband deployed and I made the decision to slow down and put all my focus on my family.

And I’m really glad I did.
But now? I’m ready to create again.

I’m ready for the missing teeth, wild hair, belly laughs, serious faces, big personalities, tiny details, growing-up-too-fast moments and all the things that make childhood worth remembering.

My fall calendar is opening, and I’m keeping my availability intentionally limited.

So if you’ve been thinking:
“We really need updated pictures of the kids.”
This is your sign.
Fall sessions are officially OPEN.

Send me a message and let’s talk about what you’re dreaming up.

This Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who gave everything in service to our country. Behind every flag is a story. A family. A sacrifice that continues to echo long after the silence settles.

As we spend time with those we love this weekend, may we also pause to honor those who made that freedom possible.

We are out of office through the 26th. Responses to messages and inquiries may be delayed during this time.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day 🇺🇸❤️

Today we celebrate the incredible strength, sacrifice, patience, and love of military spouses everywhere. Behind every service member is someone holding down the home front through long nights, changing schedules, missed holidays, countdowns, and proud moments that deserve recognition too. ✨

Military spouses carry so much with grace and resilience, often being the steady heartbeat of their families through every season.

To every military spouse:
We see you. We appreciate you. And today, we celebrate YOU. ❤️

If you’re a military spouse, drop a ❤️ below so we can thank and celebrate you today! 🇺🇸

There’s an empty chair leaning against the dugout.
Not forgotten. Not misplaced. Just empty.

And inside, a kid who’s learning how to show up anyway.

You don’t see it on the scoreboard.
You don’t hear it in the crowd.
But it’s there, in the quiet moments between plays.

Military kids carry a lot without saying much.
They learn resilience early.
They learn how to keep going, even when someone important isn’t there to watch.

This one felt different when I pressed the shutter.
Like the chair wasn’t just a chair.

It was a space being held.
A presence that’s missing, but still deeply felt.

For every kid standing tall while a parent is serving…
I see you.
