These two pieces of art are from our Transitions Collection. Each are printed at 11x14” and hung in a floating frame. They are printed on Kodak paper and have an archival lifespan of 100 years. (I had no idea what that meant at first.) The print can last up to 100 years. Especially if it stays out of direct sunlight.

Come See them in person at Plantella! This picture doesn’t do them justice.

Orchids are tricky to keep. They are tropical flowers who love humidity. Perfect for closed top terrariums, especially the further you get away from the equator.

I can’t get enough of the light through this terrarium. In it resides a rex begonia.

Native to northern India, southern China & Vietnam they have particular needs, humidity being one of them. This makes them a good choice for terrariums. However you will have to remove the top periodically to avoid mold.

We will be at Plantella: A Houseplant Expo on December 17th at the Jewish Community Center in Schenectady. We’ll have this beauty with us along with art photography gifts. See you soon!

I am excited to be a part of this event! I hope to see you there!

Making terrariums has taught me how many of our house plants are from Africa.

This is a Polka Dot Plant. It is native to Madagascar. 🇲🇬
There are several colors of Polka Dot Plants, usually pink. I think the white leaves are striking.

It is planted in a reclaimed glass punch bowl. The pattern of folds in the bottom@of the bowl look like a compass rose.

Visit us at this Saturday November 25th!
