This Big Ben shot is really a story about adaptation.
I had this planned as a fading-light photo. Twilight. Blue hour. The whole idea in my head.
What I didn’t account for was the UK time change happening weeks earlier than back home, which meant twilight disappeared fast, and suddenly I was shooting at night, and my Sony A7CR needs light, unlike my Canon, which was pi**ed I'd left her home.
That’s where Tony from Tony’s Taxi Tours saved the day. I needed a tripod to have any chance of capturing anything remotely close to a style of photo I could use... Tony had a tripod in his trunk. Problem solved, or was it?
My head mount is designed to work with my Manfrotto travel tripod, which was back at the hotel. Or so I thought. That's when Peak Design surprised me. Their head accepted my mount perfectly.
I own several Peak Design products; now I believe you should too!
Sometimes it’s what you know.
Most times it’s luck.
This one was both.
Thank you, Tony and pd
I loved the results. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
