I get it because I’ve been there. I remember wanting this for so bad for so long. I RMEMEBER saving posts, I remember booking the shoot, obsessing on every detail. I remember arriving to my first one as a client/muse myself 15 minutes late, sweating, and as we pulled up my favorite accessory broke. I remember wanting to just turn around and give up. But I didn’t. I said “f**k it” instead. I showed up. I posed in the flowers and in the dirt and in the grass. I revealed a little, then a lot.
I left not really sure how I felt. The images were okay but not astonishing honestly didn’t enjoy most of them, I didn’t resonate, I didn’t feel connected to them. Yeah they were me, but just doing what I was told. Not really a representation of me. But there was this one. It was tender. Loving. I was holding myself looking down at myself and it just resonated. a sweet lil “oh look at me, there I am”. That’s all I needed, everything that’s come after that has been a domino effect of choosing to show up that day anxious, not prepared, not ready but willing.
I didn’t resonate with every image but that ONE sparked the journey of learning what I DO resonate with.
My shoot process? Built on everything I’ve learned along the way. Instead of having to spend YEARS discovering the process you get to come into the space I’ve created all the experience I’ve gained since my first time being photographed by a bo***ir photographer.
10. Years. This is why I do what I do. This is why I built this space. Because no one should be forced in a box or rushed on sometime self love timeline. Along the way I discovered my queerness, my gender fluidity. I want to provide a space for you to rediscover yourself over and over again. 🥹🖤
