Two of my favorite people, who have a thirst for the macabre and books just like I do, got married in one of my DREAM locations to photograph—a place tied to one of my favorite authors, Edgar Allan Poe. 🖤📚

This was truly the ultimate Richmond spooky wedding. We rode the trolley through the cobblestone streets of Richmond, said “I do” beneath Poe’s memorial, wandered through all that historic gothic beauty, and ended the evening exactly how you should—with pizza, drinks, and dancing at a local brewery. 🍕🍻💀

And if these two look familiar, they’re the incredibly creative minds behind Red Vein Haunted House—one of the most dynamic, inventive, immersive, and FUN haunted attractions I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Their creativity is unmatched, so of course their wedding was going to be just as uniquely them.

I know my feed can be filled with mostly horror, spooky s**t, and boudoir—but I promise, I literally photograph ALL the things. 📸🖤

Couples, families, weddings, branding, creative portraits, engagements, elopements… I love getting to step into different worlds and tell people’s stories through my lens.

And weddings? I LOVE weddings. Especially when couples make their day completely their own.

Give me the nontraditional weddings. The tattoos. The vintage cars. The backyard celebrations. The desert elopements. The fandom references. The killer playlists. The weird traditions. The dramatic outfits. The dive bars. The places that actually mean something to you.

I love when couples take their passions, personalities, hobbies, and everything that makes their relationship theirs and weave it into their wedding day. That’s when the magic gets even better.

As a lot of you know, I’m a bicoastal baddie, living in the high desert of Southern California while also working in Richmond, Virginia. 🌵✈️

One of my favorite little desert gems is Coyote Cone. My daughter and I love spending our summers grabbing waffle cones, soaking up that Morongo Valley sunshine, and enjoying the kind of simple desert magic that makes this place feel like home. 🍦☀️🌵

So obviously, I had to turn one of our favorite spots into a photoshoot! My fellow neighbor, friend, and muse Courtney joined me for a fun summer shoot filled with ice cream, desert heat, and all the retro roadside vibes. Sometimes the best locations are the places already woven into your everyday life. 🖤

Lizzy and Jon are officially on year TWO of our annual Red Vein Haunt Halloween sessions! 🖤🎃

This year, we took inspiration from the music video “Cut” by Black Veil Brides & Lilith Czar. Andy and Lilith’s portrayal of a couple with one of them undead was such a killer concept, and it was so much fun putting our own spooky, romantic spin on it.

There’s just something about love, death, and a little Halloween horror that makes the perfect photoshoot. 💀❤️

I absolutely love when clients come back year after year and we get to make each session bigger, darker, and weirder than the last.
